Vintage Pony Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
How pretty is this pony party from Miranda of Whimsically Detailed? She created this shabby chic party for her daughter’s birthday? Miranda offset the hay from the traditional barn theme with feminine items like her daughter’s pink chandelier, a custom silk linen, and a background of pink and turquoise rosettes. A spray painted step stool and crates gave height for the desserts on the dessert table. The treats on the dessert table were gorgeous, including…

G Is For Girl Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
This school-style party was styled by Jennifer from Sweeten Your Day Events for her friend’s baby shower. Each guest received a brown bagged lunch of a croissant sandwich, salad in a container, a cup of fruit, and alphabet cookies. A dessert table included sweet treats like peanut butter and jelly bars, mini apple pies, cookie and milk parfaits and a naked cake. We love the “#2 is on the way” flags on the #2 pencils!  …

Pink and Green Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
This table was sent to us by Renee of Lola & Co. Party Styling. For her daughter Lola’s 1st birthday, Renee chose a bright and feminine color palette of hot pink and lime green while keeping a shabby chic farm theme. She created two tables. The first, covered in burlap, was for the baked goods which included a green ruffled cake, cookies, macarons, mousse and jello shooters. The second table was a candy bar and…

Shabby Chic Cookie Buffet Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
This beautiful party was sent to us by Sarah from Princess Allure Accessories. She created a cookie buffet for a bride who wanted a romantic themed table with shabby chic elements. The bride was Chinese and the Groom was French so Sarah incorporated both of their cultures. Light pink macarons with white chocolate ganache filling with a “Je Taime” sign was a nod towards the groom’s heritage. Fortune cookies and round cookies stenciled with the…

Chic & Shabby Guest Dessert Feature

Our second post today is from Abby Barnett of Flair Designery.  Abby styled this party for a baby shower for a little girl. We love all of the mix and match patterns, as well as the Chic and Shabby signage that Abby created.  Since the mom is having a girl, guests were served bambina burgers.  Another fun item on the menu included  petite grilled cheese and tomato soup.  The colors are happy and it looks…

Shabby Chic Breakfast

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
We’re continuing our shabby chic features this week {be sure to check out earlier posts if you have missed} and the next one up is a shabby chic breakfast submitted from Margherita of Le Chat de Sucre in Florence, Italy.   Margherita was inspired by early spring wildflowers, and she included recipes infused with lavender flowers, rose water and essence of violet.  All of the food was prepared following old country recipes. We love the limonata…

Easter Guest Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
We have more Easter guest features for you today.  Yesterday, we featured a couple here and here.  This latest one is from Suzanna of Mon Tresor and Vesna of My Little Jedi.  I love the “nest” meringues topped with persian pistachio cotton candy and speckled jordan almonds.  I also love how Suzanna and Vesna layered crepe paper runners to create a gingham design on the side table.  On the side table were baskets of eggs…

Easter Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
This morning we shared this pretty shabby chic table, and since we’ve been getting a ton of shabby chic Easter tables in our inbox, we’re sharing some more.  This one is from Jenny of Jenny Cookies. Jenny’s party setup was initially inside because it was raining, but she quickly moved it outside when it stopped raining.  The table looks great in both settings. Jenny made Easter egg cookies, bunny cookie cupcakes, Easter egg nest treats,…

Shabby Chic Guest Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
We have a few shabby chic guest features to share with you this week.  Since the colors commonly found in shabby chic displays are muted, we think they work wonderfully for spring and Easter occasions.  First up is Heather of Heather Equitz Designs.  Heather’s mother collects pre-war lace and she incorporated some of the lace on the table.   Heather made a beautiful runner out of a pair of drapes she found at Big Lots for…
