Crafting Party Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
This crafting party that Christine at Pure Joy Events styled for her daughter’s birthday is so much fun! We adore the spool display and the use of decorative paper loosely hanging on the wall. Guests got crafty by painting and glittering beaded necklaces. They also made pom pom garlands out of yarn. Sweet treats included a vanilla cake with raspberry ganache filling, raspberry and chocolate cupcakes and jelly beans. Pink lemonade was served in canning…

This baby shower by Jennifer from Sweeten Your Day Events is sew great!  It remind us of this sewing party, especially the fun embroidery hoops!  Jennifer styled this event for her sister in-law’s baby shower. She created a Buttons & Bows theme. Button cookies, a button cake, and button cupcakes were displayed on wooden spools. We love the old fashioned button cookie cards! Jennifer created large block letters that spelled out the baby’s name and…

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
We thought this submission was sew lovely. We received this submission from one of our readers, Courtney.  She created this quilting inspired dessert table for her grandmother’s 90th birthday. Much like a quilt piecing together various fabrics, Courtney decided to have the cupcake toppers piece together various aspects of her grandmother’s life using a color palette of brown, purple, teal and green. There were so many creative and sweet styling tips in this party. The…

This sweet vintage sewing party was created by Jeannie from The Pastry Tip. Jeannie created this party for her sister Susan’s birthday.  While at Goodwill, Jeannie found a great vintage sewing machine. She realized it was the same sewing machine that her grandmother used.  Since Susan loves to sew and crochet, Jeannie knew she had to incorporate the sewing machine into the sweets display.  We love the spool cookies and the detail on the…

Vintage Sewing Party Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
We could hardly contain our excitement when this feature came into our inbox. Christine of Pure Joy Events created this party for her daughter Caitlyn’s 7th birthday. Caitlyn became interested in sewing after receiving a sewing kit for Christmas.  Fabric is always a huge inspiration to me when we’re doing parties, and Christine also was inspired by fabric with Heather Bailey’s Nicey Jane pattern. Christine transformed her child’s playroom into a sewing room.  Some amazing…
