Into the Woods Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
We are sending you off today with this beautiful styled shoot from Morgan over at Ashley Weddings & Events. We love the rustic undertones and soft coral, gold and aqua color palette. Antique vessels were used to display the sweet treats for a romantic vibe. The dining table was layered with lace linens that Ashley found in her mother’s closet. Sweet treats on the dessert table included gourmet marshmallows, black salted macarons and pretty petit…

Valentine’s Day Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
Valentine’s Day is approaching quickly and you can’t celebrate Valentine’s Day without sweets.  Well, you can, but what fun would that be? This Valentine’s Day dessert table was sent to us by Katie from Petite Social. Katie wanted to reuse her Christmas decorations and incorporated rustic branches, dark woods, browns, blushes, and deep red hues for her cookie decorating party. A branch display with hearts attached by a clothespin was a simple and creative centerpiece.…

Lavender & Lemon Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
We received this pretty lavender and lemon dessert table from Sumayya at Mio Cupcakes. She and her partner, Yasmeen, styled this table for a little girl’s 5th birthday. We love the lavender and lemon color palette and the sweet little bird on the cake.  Sweet treats included cake pops, macarons and nougat. We think this would make a sweet and unexpected color palette for Valentine’s Day as well. Scroll down below to see the vendor…

Eat Drink & Be Merry Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
This rustic holiday themed table came to us from from Thetis from Little Sooti in Australia. She put this table together for a small holiday lunch. Thetis’ guests were given a packed picnic lunch which included marinated olives, cheese, bread and vino. Sweet treats included mini pies, vanilla cupcakes, sugar buns, yo-yos and cake pops. We love that Thetis used mostly store bought desserts and dressed them up to give them a homemade feel. The…

Elegant Rustic Guest Dessert Feature

This table by Saneth at Illuminations Designs is a chocolate lover’s dream. She and some local Colorado vendors joined together to create this rustic chocolate dessert table. The table was simple and approachable and since  the overall design was kept neutral, they incorporated surfaces like lace, burlap, cork, and antique brass. Sweet treats included chocolate truffles, meringue and chocolate martinis. Yum! Scroll down to see the vendor credits. If you like this post, click here…

Rustic Faux-Bois Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
This Faux-Bois designed dessert table was sent to us by Jennifer at Honeycomb Events. She created this table for a second time mom who wanted the gender of the baby to be a surprise. Jennifer kept the palette neutral and designed a chic owl illustration for the custom printables to embrace the fall season. The Faux-Bois pattern gave the table a woodsy feel with lots of charm. Jennifer also used burlap to cover the table…

Garden Party Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
This Garden Party dessert table was sent to us by Louisa Shippman of Lou Lou Events down under.  Louisa created this table for a 50th birthday party.  We love how the trunk of that beautiful old tree framed the dessert table.  Louisa handpicked rustic desserts like honey spiced sponge, dusted truffles, and cannolis from local vendors and found lush hydrangea to complement the outdoor space.  Adding a few hydrangea to the top of the sponge…

Beautiful Rustic Pink Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
Today’s featured submission was sent to us by Linda of Call Me Cupcake from Sweden.  I think you all know by now that we get a lot of the “dessert table in a field idea submissions” and I’m not the biggest fan usually.  However, when I see something that is beautifully styled, I have to feature it. Not only did Linda bake all the pretty desserts, but she also styled and photographed the shoot…

Rustic Easter Guest Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
We’ve shown a lot of traditional pastel Easter decor on the blog this week, so we’re giving you a taste of some earthy, rustic Easter decor with this feature from Marcie of Celebrating Moments.  Marcie enlisted Whatever Whimsy to create the lovely sweets like the chocolate bird pops, nest cupcakes, bird cookies, and bird cake.  The color palette is subdued and unexpected for this time of year, but a nice surprise.  Very pretty job, Marcie!…
