Let’s Fly Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
This simple yet stylish dessert table was styled by Jayme from Jayme Marie Designs for her son’s vintage airplane birthday party. We love the chic black table against the red and aqua palette. Notice how the white on the vertical runner, cake, wall and beverages give the design a crisp look. It’s a major player in the design. We love the use of stripes as well. Sweet treats on the dessert table included chocolate and…

Under The Blue Sea Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
We always talk about finding inspiration from difference places. Natasha from Nevie-Pie Cake styled this party for her daughter’s 6th birthday and found her inspiration from a panel of Ralph Lauren fabric. She incorporated the blue and white color scheme and line drawing to the cake elements. How fun are those sugar “oyster” cookies? Other sweet treats on the dessert table included vanilla cotton candy, cupcakes with line drawing fondant toppers, meringue, gingerbread dipped pearl…

This beach party from Cris of Crissy’s Crafts is perfect for any beach lover. Cris styled this party for her husband’s birthday party. She shopped at home and used props from her living room to decorate the table. Free printable beach bag tags found on The House of Smiths were used as food tent cards, cupcake toppers and favors. Sweet and salty treats were combined on one table. For the sweet treats, there was salt…

Nautical Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
We love this nautical party and dessert table that Rachel of Sol and Rachel created for her son. Rachel created a menu that consisted of sailboat shaped sandwiches, blue jello cups with apple slice sailboats {we love!}, chocolate dipped pretzel oars, goldfish crackers, and little plastic boats filled with fruit. Guests spent time playing in the SS Finley, which Rachel’s husband crafted from a huge cardboad box. The printables by RV Parties tied the whole…

We are going from the catwalk to walking the plank! This sailing theme party was sent to us by one of our reader’s Sabrina for her son’s birthday. Sabrina held the party at the California Yacht Club in Los Angeles and used props from Home Goods to bring her nautical party to life. She enlisted Gwynn Wasson to do the invite and printables. The classic red, white & blue color palette was spruced up with…

Sail Away Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
This dessert table was sent to us by Vania at Canadian Hostess. To escape the long harsh Canadian winter, Vania decided to create a seaside atmosphere for her little sailor’s 3rd voyage. Her son loves boats so a nautical theme seemed fitting. The nautical details included a homemade ribbon lifesaver, a sailboat sweets bar, and favor boxes wrapped with sailing rope. Sweet treats included anchor vanilla cake pops, red velvet lifesaver cupcakes, a fantastic sailboat…

Rustic Silhouette Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
This nautical guest dessert table came to us Monika from Stylish Party Bazaar in the UK. She created this table for a wedding show. Instead of the typical navy, red and white color palette, Monika chose a black and ivory palette and paired it with a silhouette design. We love the rope embellished crates and the gable boxes. Sweet treats included cupcakes, a silhouette cake and cake pops. Beautiful. To see some more nautical inspiration,…

Ahoy! Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
We love this nautical baby shower from Amy of One Divine Party. Amy styled this party for a sweet mom who was blessed with an adopted child after six years of trying to conceive her own biological child. The father is a private yacht captain so it seemed fitting to have a nautical themed shower. Sweet treats on the dessert table included lighthouse and onesie sailor cookies {adorable!}, an ocean wave cake, s’more cakepops, doughnuts…

The Love Boat Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
Our last Valentine’s Day post of the day is from Ebony at Sparkling Events & Designs.  She sent us her version of “The Love Boat”.  I don’t know about you, but I loved watching The Love Boat as a kid. I used to love pretending to be Captain Stubing’s daughter Vicki and Gopher always made me laugh.  There was also something so comforting knowing that each show ended with families happy and in love! Ebony …

A Pirate’s Life Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
This pirate themed party almost threw us overboard! Johanna from Mums Little Party Secret sent us these photos from her son Morgan’s birthday. She and her husband decorated and constructed that pirate ship by hand (amazing!). Johanna also created the cupcakes and cake. After months of construction, the day finally arrived for Capt’n Morgan III’s maiden voyage. Johanna and here husband were fearful of housing the ship outside as storms were predicted. They made the…

Nautical Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
We received this nautical themed submission from Louisa and Melissa at The Little Big Company in Australia. She created this party for a client whose husband was turning 60. The party was a surprise and they only had one week to put it together. They wanted the table to have a very masculine feel so they went with blue, black and yellow as the color palette. Their client had mentioned that her husband wanted to…

Come Sail Away Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
When Lisa saw this submission, she immediately started singing “Come Sail Away” by Styx!  It seemed like the perfect name for this submission.  Sent in by Renee from The Inspired Occasion, this party was created for Renee’s partner Alex’s son’s birthday (his 4th) and Renee’s sister’s birthday (her 24th). They wanted a color palette and theme that would work for both adult and children shipmates.  The nautical theme with its red white & blue color…

Nautical Themed Bridal Shower Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
This nautical themed bridal shower had us swooning. It was designed by Heather Equitz of Heather Equitz Designs. The bride and groom were going to be married on a boat so Heather decided a nautical themed bridal shower would be perfect.  Well, the backdrop could not be more picturesque, right?  If you do have the benefit of having a scenic natural landscape like here, take advantage of it!  The transparent netting gives the table an…

Red White & Blue Guest Dessert Feature

The resort wear season may be coming to a close in the states, but with July 4th around the corner, nautical imagery is still everywhere from clothing to housewares.  A few weeks ago we featured a vintage nautical dessert table.   Bird from Bird’s Party sent over this dessert table that she created to showcase her new nautical printables collection. Inspired by the French Riviera, Bird wanted to create a clean, fresh and preppy dessert table.  …

Vintage Nautical Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
Howdy. I am loving all things Texas today.  I am in Dallas today having a great time with the Michael’s gang. This beautiful dessert table was sent to us by Houston photographer Lucie Easterwood and I could not wait to share it with y’all. Lucie created this table for her son’s first birthday.  His room has a nautical theme so it was a no brainer for her when trying to figure out a theme…

We’re kicking off a guest dessert feature marathon and first on the list today is Sharnel of Sharnel Dollar Designs from Brisbane, Australia.  Sharnel was one of the first guest features that I ever posted over a year ago.  You can see past guest features here and here.  Sharnel always rocks her designs, but do you want to know why I was drawn to this table in particular?  I used that very same Ralph Lauren…
