Under The Apple Tree Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
This sweet dessert table was sent to us by Cezary of Cezary Jakimik Photography. Cezary and Ma?gorzata from Cupcake Love styled this party for their daughters for a welcome Autumn party. We love the use of the bench as the dessert table. Sweet treats included apple pies, greek yogurt with apple muesli, apple cupcakes, pie pops, and those adorable apple cookies. Great job. Cat In The Hat Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
Nadia and Paola from CutiePie Sweets in the Domincan Republic styled this party for a little boy’s first birthday party. Sweet treats on the dessert table included macarons, vanilla cupcakes with Nutella filling and buttercream frosting, marshmallow pops, caramel popcorn, meringue, and decorated cookies. We love the bright colors and how the polka dot and striped patterns created a whimsical feel. Guests took home a personalized Cat In The Hat coloring book and a lunchbox…

How To Make a Gift Bow Cupcake Topper

I am pretty sure that, by now, you guys are starting to get tired of wrapping. I personally think that I keep Michael’s in business during the holidays.  I actually love wrapping presents for people (especially my kids). They are sometimes more excited to see the boxes than they are the gifts. We received this video from Binky over at Cakebot showing us how to create the perfect gift bow cupcake topper.  For everyone giving…

Halloweekend Countdown: Orange & Black Cupcakes

By: Amy Atlas, in Great Finds, Recipes
Zebra patterns are always very popular. Kathryn from Sugar Tumble sent us her tutorial on how to make orange and black zebra cupcakes for halloween. These are super cute and would be easy to do with your little monsters. By switching out the colors, these would be great for tailgate parties or Super Bowl parties. Even better, change the colors to match your child’s school’s colors and we bet they would be snatched up quickly…

Vibrant Floral Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
We are loving the vibrant colors of this submission that we received from Julie at Blue Cupcake.  Julie created this table for her little girl’s 5th birthday celebration. Her daughter’s only request was…..pies and ice cream. No theme, just all the sweet treats that she wanted.  How could Julie say no to that??   She transformed the front of one of her favorite indoor places, The Coop, to a beautiful dessert display.…

New Halloween Ticings Edible Sheets + Giveaway

Remember when I first introduced Ticings, the company with edible icing sheets, last year here?  Well, today Ticings is launching a fun Halloween collection just in time for Halloween planning and they shared it with us first.  I adore these new cobweb, owl, “bite me” and “boo” designs. These are perfect for the at-home baker who is a little intimidated to experiment with Halloween decorating.  But don’t think these are just for novice bakers, I…

Cute as a Button Cupcakes

By: Amy Atlas, in Great Finds
I have to share a website that has the most vibrant goodies. For a while, I wanted to keep it to myself, but I couldn’t bear the idea of not sharing this with you! It is a baker’s site from half way around the world, but clicking on her site just makes me happy! Although I won’t be visiting Hala Audi Beydoun’s Cocoa and Us Shop anytime soon since she is based in Beirut, I…
