Great Finds: Hunger Games Cookies

By: Amy Atlas, in Great Finds
If you have read The Hunger Games, then you understand the phenomenon surrounding today’s opening day of The Hunger Games movie. Last year, someone recommended Hunger Games to me and I read the trilogy within a few days. Our friends at Eleni’s turned Katniss, Peeta and Gale into sweet treats. I love that Eleni’s also made cookies for the items found in the Hunger Games arena. These are perfect for a Hunger Games screening. Will…

She created a cookie buffet for a bride who wanted a romantic themed table with shabby chic elements. The bride was Chinese and the Groom was French so Sarah incorporated both of their cultures. Light pink macarons with white chocolate ganache filling with a “Je Taime” sign was a nod towards the groom’s heritage. Fortune cookies and round cookies stenciled with the…

We’re here with a giveaway from Cookies for Kids’ Cancer. This organization was founded by two OXO employees, Gretchen and Larry Witt who were inspired by their son Liam’s battle with pediatric cancer. They were shocked to learn that the main reason over 25% of kids diagnosed with cancer do not survive is because of a lack of effective therapies. And the reason for the lack of effective therapies was simple: lack of funding. ??Cookies…

It always humbles us when someone says we inspired them to start their own company.  Miriam from Glam Candies sent us a note telling us that, along with this very fun Ice Cream submission. Who doesn’t love a good old fashioned Ice Cream Party?  This theme is always a big hit with kids (and adults alike..check out the party we did with Kelly Ripa and Electrolux). Miriam styled this party for a little girl’s Sweet…

In my earlier post today, I shared an election day cookie recipe that I was hoping to test out with my kids. Well, we had a chance to make them today and they were a hit. It has been a loooong Election Day at the Atlas household and this was a good activity while my kids were out of school. My kids were so excited when the cookies came out of the oven that we…
