Red Holiday Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
We have another pretty holiday party on the blog today. This one is from Francisca of Cupcake in Portugal. She baked and styled everything for this bird themed Christmas party – wow! Francisca styled the party for a family holiday soiree in her home. We love how Francisca incorporated meaningful family items into the party, like the shutter from her grandparent’s country house and the handmade crochet linen from her great grandmother’s trousseau. Sweet treats…

Winter White Holiday Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
We are completely smitten with this winter white holiday party created by our reader Kendra Plastow. Kendra created the holiday soiree for family this past weekend. Sweet treats on the dessert table included lemon meringue pies, toffee apple crumbles, champagne bubbles, snowflake cookies, personalized chocolate bars, and a winter white cake. We love the red and white burlap wreaths, pretty customized signage, ilex berry arrangement, and the beautiful fawn and antler sculptures. Great work! Scroll…

Gingerbread House Party Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
We showed you a sneak peek yesterday of this adorable gingerbread party from Erin of Strawberry Mommycakes. We’re back now with the whole party so you may want to grab a hot cocoa and settle in for a toasty post. We love all of Erin’s colorful Gingerbread House Party Printables. All of the paper items from the trees to the gable boxes were custom made by Erin. How cute are those custom gable boxes?! Cute…

Sparkler Guest Dessert Table

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
There are so many elements on this table from Elianne at Elivents in the Netherlands that we love. The unconventional salmon and navy color palette and quatrefoil pattern gives it a fresh look for the holidays. Hanging stars made it feel very festive, too. You can also change the shapes of the stars if you want to create a similar look for Hanukkah. Sweet treats on the dessert table included star and present shaped cakepops,…

Woodland Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
Today is the second post of the day where burlap is used. Burlap is durable and inexpensive and is so great for woodsy summer themes. It can wrinkle easily so have an iron or steamer on hand! This woodlands party was sent to us by Nicole from Sooti and Sweet, who styled it for her son’s first birthday. Because of the red and green, this design could also work well for a holiday party. Sweet…

Paper Rosette Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
This party was sent to us by Chrissy from Vitalic Photo. She created this table for her son’s first birthday. The birthday boy was born ON Christmas morning. Chrissy wanted his first birthday party to have a wintery feel without going overboard on the Christmas motif.  The result was a crisp, modern table with a palette of seafoam, aqua and yellow. Sweet treats included snowflake and penguin sugar cookies, macarons and cupcakes. Modern paper rosette…

Dreaming of a (Red &) White Christmas Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
Today is our last day of posting for the holidays and we are starting it off with this beautiful red and white dessert table styled by Natalie in Sydney. She created this table for a pre-Christmas party for her friends and family. The star of the table was the snowflake meringue Christmas tree that Natalie made. White paper lanterns hung from the ceiling to resemble falling snow. Sweet treats included cake pops, cotton candy topped…

Gingerbread House Guest Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
Nothing is better than decorating gingerbread houses on a cold winter day. This party was sent to us by Nicole of Tradewind Tiaras. Instead of a dessert table, Nicole created a candy display for decorating the gingerbread houses. An assortment of decorating candy was displayed in colorful boxes with tags from Frog Prince Paperie. Do you see the cool backdrop? It is made of painted and cut Styrofoam to depict snowy hills.  The houses, snowmen…

Eat Drink & Be Merry Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
This rustic holiday themed table came to us from from Thetis from Little Sooti in Australia. She put this table together for a small holiday lunch. Thetis’ guests were given a packed picnic lunch which included marinated olives, cheese, bread and vino. Sweet treats included mini pies, vanilla cupcakes, sugar buns, yo-yos and cake pops. We love that Thetis used mostly store bought desserts and dressed them up to give them a homemade feel. The…
