Anne of El’uccellino Design styled this “birds and the Mommy to bee” dessert table for a client’s baby shower. Anne brought in burlap and birdcages to play up the theme. She found grapevine cones at the craft store and turned them into beehives by attaching felt circles and fake bees. She also hung construction paper bird cut outs with ribbon and guests wrote their wishes for the ba-bee on the birds. Sweet treats on the…

We’re loving this dessert table sent to us by Monaliz of Bella Sweets. The dessert table was for Monaliz’ very own baby shower and was inspired by the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland. It is a refreshing take on what we normally see with Alice in Wonderland parties because she focused on one element in the story and because of the red, pink, black and white color palette. Sweets treats included red velvet…

It is dreary in NYC today so this Oranges and Lemons themed baby shower inspired by the nursery rhyme is bringing us cheer. The party is from Robyn and Lisa of Lettuce & Co. from down under and since it is spring in Australia, the theme is quite perfect. The colors were great since the client didn’t know if she was having a boy or girl. We love how Robyn and Lisa captured the old…

This Fit for a Prince baby shower was sent to us by Amanda from Red Wagon Events and Daisy of Leo and Bella. The party was timely, as it happened just around the time that Prince George was born. The ladies used a harlequin design with a black and gold palette for a luxurious and modern vibe. We love the hand-cut rosettes that were placed on the table, which were reminiscent of Elizabethan collars. Sweet…

We love how Duchess Kate wore a blue and white polka dot Jenny Packham dress yesterday while leaving the hospital just as Princess Diana did when she left the hospital with baby William. We’re huge fans of Kate’s fashion and pulled together some polka dot party ideas inspired by the dress everyone is talking about. These products are timeless and perfect for a baby shower, right?

There were a few reasons why we love this party. First…how cute are those fondant frogs? Also, this party could work for St. Patrick’s Day. Either way, when it hopped into our inbox, we wanted to share it with you. This party was styled by Karolien from Cups ‘n Cakes in Belgium for a friend’s baby shower. Baby showers generally happen once the baby is born in Belgium. A tradition is handing out the candy…

Our friend Natasha from HK Housewife (and also Minted) sent us photos from her own baby shower. Natasha currently resides in Hong Kong, but traveled back to her hometown of California for her baby shower that was thrown by her mother. Since Natasha doesn’t know whether she’s having a boy or girl, her mother created a party with a neutral color palette. The theme for the dessert table was inspired by an invitation on Minted, …

Today’s pick from our design study is the classic Toile print from our pattern glossary board. What’s not to love about this beautiful pattern that depicts everything from a British battle scene to beautiful florals and birds. Typically, the Toile pattern is two colors making it perfect to use as a backdrop. Add some pretty florals on your dessert table to give it a feminine feel for a bridal shower or baby shower. Keep…
