Happy Monday all. Sherlock Holmes premieres in January and we have a clue that you are going to be inspired by this Sherlock Holmes mystery party by Emily of Smarty Parties for your viewing parties. Emily is a volunteer coordinator for a public library and once a year her jobs collide when she plans a party for the library volunteers. Naturally, the library parties always use books for their party themes and this year’s theme was Sherlock Holmes stories. We love how Emily flanked the dessert table by street lamps. She also incorporated props like a typewriter, magnifying glasses, pipes, chemistry lab ware, violins, and an old ammunition chest. Sweet treats on the dessert table included Elementary My Dear Waffle Cookies, Licorice Pipes, Study in Scarlet Red Velvet cupcakes, Sherlock cake pops, and fingerprint cookies. The staff staged a faux murder mystery interspersed within the presentation of volunteer awards. So clever!
Fun Fact: Did you know that Sherlock Holmes is the most filmed fictional character? The character has been in 226 films!
