Happy Monday. We’re kicking off the week with this really creative party that Smita from The Party Wall sent us. There are many clever ideas in this party so we’re sharing the rest of the party this afternoon. We love how Smita seamlessly tied together her son’s love for both Legos and Star Wars for his 6th birthday party. Smita designed the backdrop for the dessert table to mimic a Lego baseplate and she cleverly used plastic plates to create the illusion of raised pegs. Fabulous. The cupcake wrappers and tray liners were embossed to look like Lego baseplates as well. Smita attached Legos to the ribbon border of the vessels, a small detail that brought more depth to the table. Other great DIY props were Lego block vessels made by attaching plastic cups to photo storage boxes, as well as oversized building bricks for the cake pop display. Sweet treats on the dessert table included a two-tiered Star Wars birthday cake, cupcakes with Star Wars cupcake toppers, sugar-cookies, cake pops, Pez dispensers, M&M lightsabers, lightsaber pretzels rods, Lego rice krispie treats, space rock candy, and Lego-shaped chocolate. Amazing! Don’t forget to check back in the PM for the rest of this party. Scroll down for the vendor credits.
