This Spring baby shower was styled by Sasha, one of our readers in Atlanta for her friend. We adore this whole set up. How great is the backdrop that she made? We also love the cupcake flower pots with the DIY paper flower toppers. {scroll down for Sasha’s how to}. Other sweet treats on the dessert table included lemon cookies, lemon cake pops, tangy lemon bars, dry pineapple, mini chocolate cupcakes and key lime pie.
Supplies needed:
Cardstock or construction paper cut into any size circle (depending on how big you want your flower to be) Scissors Paper straw Glue gun with glue sticks1. Start by cutting the inside of the circle in a spiral until you reach the middle
2. Once your circle is cut in a spiral shape, cut out a little piece of the tip to make it easier to roll
3. Roll the spiral from the inside until you get close the the middle of the circle.
4. Using the glue gun put a little bit of glue at the base of the flower pressing down to make sure the flower is secured to the base.
5. Now you have a pretty paper flower ready to be attached to a straw stem.
6. Cut your paper straw in half and glue it on the back of the flower.
Enjoy!
