I hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving. I’m spending time with my husband, kids, mom, brother, sister-in-law, niece and nephews and it just wonderful. I always find that Thanksgiving is a great time to reflect and I just wanted to tell you that the whole Amy Atlas team is so very thankful for you all. It means so much that you check in here every day to see what we’re sharing. A big warm thanks from us.
With cooler temperatures coming, we thought we’d warm you up with this party based on the Jan Brett’s classic children’s book “The Mitten.” It is getting us in the mood for mittens and hot cocoa. Courtney Portner always seems to bring literature to life with her dessert tables. You may remember this Brown Bear dessert table she created for her twin’s birthday party in June. We just LOVE the beverage jars wrapped with cable knit wraps and birch straws. Images of the story’s birch trees showed up elsewhere, like the napkin rings and cupcake holders as well. Sweet treats on the dessert table included cake pops shaped as yarn balls and mittens, mitten lollipops, cupcakes and sugar cookie mittens which brought all of the animals from the story to life. Fantastic. Scroll down for the vendor credits.
