Chevron Superhero Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
Brianna at Krute styled this SUPER design savvy party for the superhero in her life, her son. Because her son’s birthday is in July, Brianna used a bright, colorful and cheery palette. She brought in a chevron pattern since the jagged points reminded her of fight bubbles used in the 1960’s Batman series. Cardboard suitcases from Shop Sweet Lulu gave the cake stand a POW moment and Starbucks Frappuccino bottles were repurposed for the strawberry…

How cute are these macarons?  When we were in Beverly Hills on our Williams-Sonoma Sweet Designs stop, we were greeted with the cutest macaron package {which intentionally matched my dress, by the way} from one of our supporters, Katie of Le Pop Shop. We checked out Katie’s blog and found great macaron designs. We fell in love with the donut macarons above, but some other cute designs are her balloon, ice cream cone, and watermelon…

Berry Harvest Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
Summer…ahh summer. Even though I have lived in NYC my whole life, I am not a big fan of cold weather. This berry harvest party from Stacy from Scrumptious Swirls screams summer. The printables from Fresh Chick Design Studio and the great backdrop give the party a county fair vibe. For the vertical element, Stacy placed a store bought cake on top of a box from Red Envelope. This is a great DIY trick for…

We’re back with another behind-the-scenes from our Williams-Sonoma signings for Sweet Designs.  We shared a peek of the first Williams-Sonoma stops a few weeks ago and we’re back with our next two stops. New York City is my home town and I was so happy to have my family and friends there.  My son led a mini-crafting class for the kids that were there with a pinwheel craft project from the book. It was a…

Rainbow parties are still a big trend. This one was styled by Nicole at One Magic Day in Australia for her daughter’s 3rd birthday. Her daughter is fascinated with rainbows and asks Nicole at bedtime each night if she could “sing a rainbow”. When trying to come up with a theme, an “I can sing a rainbow” theme popped into her head and the rest is musical history. White vessels and the grey polka dot…
