Father’s Day is only two weeks away. We thought we’d share our tie favor box from the Perfectly Preppy chapter in Sweet Designs. This box is the perfect way to wrap up your pop’s present. If your dad is a sweets lover like mine was, fill the box with sweet treats for a little extra sweetness. The best part is that you don’t have to know how to tie a tie to create this! Scroll down below to find the instructions.
MATERIALS:
3 1/2 inch square gift box
1 12-inch square waxed paper (in color palette)
2/3 yard 1/2-inch wide royal blue (or any other color you choose) satin ribbon
Double stick tape
INSTRUCTIONS:
Place the waxed paper inside the box so that it overhangs the edges. Place present or candy 3/4 full. Fold the excess waxed paper over the inside and replace the lid. Cut a 15-inch length of ribbon and wrap it around the box. Secure with double stick tape. Snip both ends of the remaining length of ribbon on the diagonal so that they come to a point. Fold the ribbon in half. Tie it in a knot at the folded end. Hot glue the “tie” to the box.
