Not only are they pretty, but they come with an erasable marker and can be cleaned easily with a wet cloth. They are perfect for “tagging” your sweets or for name tags for a table setting!  …

Pink Poodle Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
This Pink Poodle Party was sent to us by Leonie from Ashlee Rae. She styled this party for daughter’s 5th birthday. Sweet treats on the dessert table included marshmallow clouds, chocolate cupcakes and cake pops. We love the Strawberry Oreo cookies that Leonie created by using store bought Oreos and adding strawberry icing in the shape of a paw print. It is a fantastic and cost effective alternative to having cookies made and looked fantastic…

Colorful Floral Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
We are loving this dessert table from cake designer Asma of The Sugared Saffron in the UK. She collaborated with stylist Andri from Always Andri to create this bold and colorful sweets table for a bridal shoot. We love the kaleidoscope of vertical ribbon strips over the tablecloth. We’ve done this often and it is an inexpensive way to dress up a simple white linen.  We also love Andri’s choice to make the table asymmetrical…

Elegant Affair Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
How pretty is this guest dessert feature we received from Vanessa at Little Pear in Sydney.  She created this table for a couple who wanted a simple, elegant affair that would work well for both adults and children. Vanessa used the bride’s gold and pewter dress as the inspiration for the design. A DIY cupcake cart was made for kids to decorate their sweets with candy and sprinkles. Other sweet treats on the dessert table…

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
This darling dragonfly inspired party was sent to us by Sarah of Dreamers Joy Events & Design. She styled this table for a co-ed baby shower for her sister and her brother-in-law. A palette of green and purple kept the party fresh and delicate, while the…

Pattern Study: Tastefully Toile

Today’s pick from our design study is the classic Toile print from our pattern glossary board.  What’s not to love about this beautiful pattern that depicts everything from a British battle scene to beautiful florals and birds. Typically, the Toile pattern is two colors making it perfect to use as a backdrop. Add some pretty florals on your dessert table to give it a feminine feel for a bridal shower or baby shower. Keep…

I think you all know by now that I am a slave for fashion. We love the fashion references to some of our favorite designers in this next guest feature. Natalie from Events by Nat created this party for her sister’s Runway/Catwalk-themed 21st birthday. She found a Chanel inspired cake on Style Unveiled and asked Jacki at Blissfully Sweet to create a similar cake. Other sweet treats on the dessert table included fashionable cupcakes {the…

Ursula from Sugar & Stitch sent over this incredibly cute ice cream party that she made for her daughter Ruby. Ursula was inspired by the invitation she used for the party.  We LOVE those ice cream cookies!  Ursula baked those and also baked ice-cream cake pops, homemade marshmallows, and tim-tam cookie pops. The cake was banana cake filled with vanilla marscapone cream (yum!} and Ursula had the topper custom made to look like little Ruby.…
