Popeye Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids

Last year, we had the pleasure at speaking with the ladies from Dreamer’s into Doers. This Popeye the Sailor Man table is from some of the Dreamer’s into Doers ladies and it is a great example of how collaborative they are!  Sarah from Dreamers Joy Events & Design created it for her nephew’s first birthday. The colors, the styling…who are we kidding..Sarah had us at that amazing spinach cake created by Jennifer from The Hudson Cakery! Since Sarah and her sister grew up watching Popeye, they decided it would be a great party theme. It is fantastic theme and we are actually a little surprised we have not seen more of it. The classic royal blue, red and yellow color palette could easily work for a nautical or Fourth of July party. Sarah used netting and lanterns as runners on the tables. Sweet treats included spinach cake, sandwich cake bites, spinach can cake pops and chocolate covered oreos. Spinach juice was served in custom bottles tied with sailor’s rope. Fantastic.
