Australia Day Guest Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids

As we mentioned, Australia Day was celebrated last Thursday down under. This very Aussie dessert table was sent to us by Hanna of Pretty and Print. Every year, Hanna has an Australian Day BBQ. This year, she decided to add sweets to the mix. Desserts included typical Australian sweets like pavlova, lamingtons, and Tim Tams. Hanna was clever with giving her desserts height.  She placed a plain plate on top of an upside down bowl, which gave her a brand new vessel to work with. We love this sweet styling tip and often employ it. She also propped desserts on a suitcase and a wooden stool. As guests left, they were given freshly baked Anzac Biscuits. This table could work as inspiration for a travel themed party or a 4th of July party in the states. Great job!
