Sew Lovely Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions

We thought this submission was sew lovely. We received this submission from one of our readers, Courtney.  She created this quilting inspired dessert table for her grandmother’s 90th birthday. Much like a quilt piecing together various fabrics, Courtney decided to have the cupcake toppers piece together various aspects of her grandmother’s life using a color palette of brown, purple, teal and green. There were so many creative and sweet styling tips in this party. The oversized thimbles that showcased some of the sweets were perfect props. We also thought Courtney’s use of measuring tape around the vessels was fantastic. Treats included chocolate pretzels adorned with chocolate thimbles, quilting block sugar cookies, embroidery hoop cupcakes, button lollipops, “needles and thread” chocolate letters pops. Four generations of family members traveled from 6 different states across the country to celebrate her grandmother’s 90 years of living life to the fullest!  Talk about sewing the seeds of love, happy birthday Grandma!
