Halloweekend Countdown: Horror Movie Madness

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids

One of my earliest memories ever is the first time I saw a horror movie. Well, it was just a preview of a horror movie, but it was enough to get me scared out of my skull.  I was about 4 years old and ready to watch a more kid-appropriate movie with my parents and brother when a preview for King Kong came on.  I can remember yelling so loud that my dad had to carry me over his shoulders out of the theater and all the way home. I will never forget the feeling of utter terror. Horror movies still kind of give me that feeling so I prefer to view any horror movie screenings with a group of friends. When we received this submissions from the ladies over at Spaceships & Laserbeams, we thought it would be a fun concept for a “Halloween with Friends Horror Movie Marathon”. A fun idea, right?  The styling of the printables lends itself for any age group. The yellow and blue palette would also be suitable for both sexes. Sweet treats included hershey kisses, mini pies, lemon cookies, chocolate cake with faux popcorn (marshmallow) topping and vanilla cupcakes. You can purchase the printables on their site. What was the first horror movie you ever saw?
