Dandelions and Fireflies Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions

How pretty is this party from Amber of Party On?  Amber created this party for a little girl’s first birthday party.  What is so striking about this party is the vibrant color palette.  We love how the grey and black balances the bold hot pink and yellow hues.  The theme for this outdoor party was “dandelions and fireflies” and Amber brought in mason jars, citronella tea lights, and tin planters filled with bright yellow dandelions to highlight this outdoor summer theme.  Fun treats included a birthday smash cake, cupcakes, s’mores {their favorite snack}, and “dandelion” popcorn balls on a stick. Some great DIY elements included a pom-ribbon decorated cake pan vessel {yes, those pink cupcakes are sitting on a simple aluminum cake pan turned upside down} and the DIY painted terracotta pot cakestand.  The use of the colorful, swag cut ribbon and the painted doily bunting added a whimsical touch.  We featured another party with a lovely dyed doily bunting just last week over here.  It reminds us of traditional papel picado and we’re definitely seeing a trend here. Fun games included catching fireflies and growing dandelions.  Beautiful!   Scroll down for the vendor credits…..
