Vintage Barn Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids

Last week, we featured this adorable barn feature.  Today, we’re back with a feature from Jenny Keller of Jenny Cookies. We have featured Jenny’s tables here and here.  Jenny created this party for her son Hudson’s 3rd birthday.  From the use of hay barrels as vessels for the cake pops to the cupcakes in the egg crates, the props on this table were perfect for a barn party. Invitations were sent out in burlap bags tied with red bandanas for each of the kids to wear.  Guests came dressed to ho down in plaid, denim and boots.

The venue for this party was a barn which was completely empty besides three picnic tables. Jenny brought in two giant truckloads of wooden crates and apple baskets to set the stage for Hudson’s barn party. For her vertical element, Jenny made oversized colorful rosettes and hung them above the dessert table. Flowers were placed in vintage milk bottles, and the food was served on red and white enamelware.  The kids fed goats, chickens and lambs, and played corn maze races and a burlap bag sack race. Guests were sent home with homemade strawberry-raspberry jam and goodie bags filled with farm farm themed candy.
