Vintage Firetruck Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids

Angela of Queen of Tarts made this really cute fire truck themed table for her son’s 3rd birthday party.  She was inspired by a fire truck invitation from Dimple Prints. To make the table feel more youthful, Angela brought in ticking stripes, oversized dots, and the pop of aqua color into the design.  Desserts included a firetruck cake that Angela made {which was Valrhona chocolate, with Tahitian Vanilla buttercream and covered in Marshmallow fondant – wow}, red velvet cupcakes, oreo cookies & cream cake pops, and chocolate covered oreos.  We love how Angela stuffed the cake pops in the red luggage boxes and the craft-covered cardboard letters spelling Dane’s name.  Scroll down to see all of the vendors.

Fun fact: When it came time to cut the cake after blowing out candles, I couldn’t find the cake knife and my son thought the entire cake was for him, so he tried to take a bite directly into the cake. That’s why you have a pic of him testing it out!
