What Inspires Me: Quadrille Fabrics

These photos were grabbed from a video so please excuse the wonky resolution.

I’m back with another “What Inspires Me.”  Last week I posted my first post for this series here.  Today I’m sharing with you one of my favorite places for inspiration: Quadrille Fabrics.  Quadrille’s gorgeous prints are mainly seen upholstered on fabulous furniture or wallpapered in beautiful homes {you may recognize some of their gorgeous prints from home magazines}, but I’ve found use of their prints for my dessert tables.  For a dramatic focal point, I’ve used their wallpapers for backdrops.   For a burst of color, I’ve turned their fabrics into custom runners.  I’ve dressed up floral arrangements by blanketing simple vases with Quadrille fabrics and I’ve had cake designers turn their prints into Quadrille-inspired edible art.  Their fabric is even on one of the dessert tables that you’ll see in my book next year.

Why do I love Quadrille’s designs?  First, they embrace gorgeous bursts of color in their fabric.  They also know how to rock graphic patterns.  If you know my style, I’m drawn to “happy” pops of color and bold patterns.  Yes, I’m one of those gals who loves to sport bold Tory Burch or Trina Turk patterned tunics all summer long.  Quadrille’s designs exude those same kind of happy colors and patterns. Some of my favorites are their ikat, medallion, and trellis patterns, but they also master more traditional designs like floral, Chinoiserie, and toile patterns.  Take a peek at some of their drool-worthy collections here, here, and here and I’m sure you’ll be inspired, too.

What is your favorite print from their collections?  We would love to know!  Do you have a fabric designer that you love and would like to share?

PS – Quadrille Fabric is only open to the decorator/designer trade, but you won’t regret surfing around their site since the inspiration is endless!
