The AAE team is in love with this vintage milk & cookies table from Kate Brown and Yolanda Cerra of Kiss Me Kate in Melbourne. Kate and Yolanda recently teamed up and will have a website up soon, and we’ll be sure to showcase more of their beautiful work. They created this table for a kid’s birthday party and they knocked it out of the park. There are so many unique touches that it can take some studying of the photos to pick out everything.
A few of my favorite items are…the milk jar cookie pops, custom mini milk cartons, and those half-eaten cookies!!! Creative styling was incorporated by using props like milk crates and containers, a vintage scale, and cutting boards to hold all of the desserts. Clever signage from Anders Ruff included “have cookies,” playing off the “have milk” campaign. Since it was a milk and cookies bar, candy jars were filled with malted milkballs, milk bottle candy, and a variety of cookies, including oreos. Last, I always mention how important it is to have a vertical element on a table. The milk crate with the MILK letters in it were the perfect vehicle to draw guests eyes up. Fantastic job, ladies. Off for a cookie break now:)
