Bubblegum Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
This soda and bubblegum guest feature from Leanne of Mrs. A in the Cove of Australia brings the kid out in me.    It reminds me of Hello Naomi’s table here.  Leanne created the table for her daughter’s birthday party.  The gumball machine cake, soda bottle cookies, and gumball cookies from Blissfully Sweet Cakes are incredible.  Leanne chose the cheery color palette from the “gumball looking” bon bon candy she used on the table.  The table…

Batter Up! Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
Suzanna of Mon Tresor stepped up to the plate with this batter up! baseball guest dessert feature .  I have a family filled with baseball lovers so this kind of party would be a huge score in my home.  Since Suzanna’s son just finished the baseball season in Australia, she chose a baseball theme for his 7th birthday. Suzanna incorporated some fun details like a batter up! baseball score board, green grass for the tabletop…

“Boy or Girl?” Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
I like to think you can always find a good reason to throw a party.  This party idea is so creative, I love it.  I have been hearing a lot recently of couples having “gender reveal” parties. Bettijo and Aimee of PagingSupermom threw a little party to reveal the gender of Bettijo’s unborn baby to her close friends and family.  The ladies used Bettijos cravings as the theme of the dessert table and the color…

Behind the Book – Photo Shoot Part II

We’re back in studio today and we’ll be here all week to shoot the second part of my book.  I can’t do a long post, but you can check out a sneak peek below.  I am not in any of the pictures because I am sick as a dog!  Luckily, I have a great crew here to help out.  I’m snuggled in a chair by the set and everyone is bringing me tea and showing…

Striped Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
We are in the middle of book craziness.  However, I saw these pictures and knew that I had to share them with you. Naomi of Hello Naomi sent us these photos of a table that she created with Nathalie from www.imprintables.com.au for Nathalie’s son’s sixth birthday party.  Naomi and Nathalie have a meticulous eye for design and I always get excited when they send over pictures of their parties.  They always capture great photos with…

Fun Fondue Guest Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
Sarah of Lil Hoot sent over this unique fun-tastic feature for fondue {and cow} lovers!  Sarah’s husband Chris made fondue for their first Valentine’s Day and now their lucky friends are invited to an annual fondue party.  Clearly, Sarah and Chris host this every February, but this theme can be for any fondue party throughout the year.  I love the fun-do-mentals sign, the moo cones which held items to dip in the fondue maker, the…

You had a sneak peek of our dessert table for Alyson Fox and Diane Levine of Levine Fox Events.  Levine Fox is an event planning company based in Los Angeles and they brought us to Virginia for an unbelievable vintage toy party they created for one of their clients.  Levine Fox Events turned a simple country club into a complete toyland.  No stone was left unturned for this event. Since we were coming from New…

Goldilocks & Three Bears Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
We’re seeing a lot of classic nursery tale themed parties popping up in our inbox lately.  This Goldilocks and The Three Bears party guest feature from Paula of Frog Prince Paperie is “Just Right” as the famous author Robert Southey once wrote.  Guests were invited to the party with a Goldilocks board book and “Bear Mail” bookplate/invitation.  Paula created a bear house vibe for the birthday party.  She used a painted bead board…

Safari Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
This wild animals guest dessert feature from Leanne of Mrs. A in the Cove shows that we all really can create simple and cute boy parties. I always love seeing boy parties executed well since I have two boys of my own.  Leanne’s design is simple, yet really cool for a boy and is perfectly age-appropriate.  The bamboo/thatch backdrop, snake and tiger cupcakes, wild snake juice, and possum tail candy give the table a safari…

Rainbow Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
This rainbow birthday guest dessert feature from Suzi of Alannah Rose is absolutely precious.  You may remember Suzi’s daughter Alannah’s 5th birthday party last year when we featured it here.  Everything about this table brings out my inner six year old child.  When I was younger, I begged my parents for any unicorn and cloud satin mobile I could get my hands on.  There is something about rainbows, unicorns, and clouds that are so dreamy,…

Tea Party Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
I love this pretty tea party guest dessert feature for a baby shower from Effi and Anna of Le Petit Party. Effi and Anna incorporated a shabby chic floral fabric, and used it to create ruffled flowers for the invitations, the jam jar and goody bag covers, and the tulle canopy that hung over the client’s heirloom crib {pretty unique, right?}  The sweet treats included that pretty buttercream cake {I love the technique that they…

Bunting Inspired Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
Bunting garlands have been pretty popular for parties over the last few years.  This pink, silver and pearl pretty guest dessert feature by Chelsea {of Eye Candy and the Eye Candy Blog} in Melbourne has a design completely inspired by bunting garlands.  The party was a Sip ‘N See to celebrate the arrival of Chelsea’s second daughter, and Chelsea was inspired by the children’s nursery rhyme “Bye, Baby Bunting.”  Chelsea worked with Sarah of Style…

Behind the Scenes at Amy Atlas – Sneak Peek of Virginia Party

By: Amy Atlas, in Amy's Latest, Behind The Scenes, Kids
We’re a little behind on blog posts, but here is a sneak peek of an amazing party we did in Virginia last month with the fabulous event planner team Levine Fox.  The theme of the party was vintage toys so we included fun props like a vintage hanging glider, papier mache hot air balloons, oversized blocks and vintage drums.  The Levine Fox team had a table created for the table that was actually a toy…
