I’m thrilled to share with you an exclusive line that I am launching with Cocodot! You may remember me talking about Cocodot this summer when they launched a Lilly Pulitzer line and more recently, a DKNY line for fashion week. Now I’ve partnered with Cocodot for a Halloween collection. Since Halloween is my favorite holiday…

Remember when I first introduced Ticings, the company with edible icing sheets, last year here? Well, today Ticings is launching a fun Halloween collection just in time for Halloween planning and they shared it with us first. I adore these new cobweb, owl, “bite me” and “boo” designs. These are perfect for the at-home baker who is a little intimidated to experiment with Halloween decorating. But don’t think these are just for novice bakers, I…

Yes, I know Halloween is still a month away, but I’m a sweets and styling gal, so I get pretty excited about Halloween! I’m working on some Halloween projects and stumbled upon these no-carve pumpkin decorating ideas. Truthfully, pumpkin carving was never one of my favorite holiday activities. Yes, I admitted it. I tackle pumpkin carving every year with my sons and even do a kid’s version with their kid-friendly carving kit, but I start…

I’m sure many of you have seen these incredible images from Ikea’s new baking book, Homemade is Best, but the images by Carl Kleiner and styling by Evalina Bratell are too brilliant not to post. I saw Smitten Kitchen’s tweet about it and have been drooling ever since. I love out-of-the-box styling ideas and this clever way of showcasing a recipe’s ingredients is nothing short of genius. The deconstructed recipes make me want to…

While at the gift show last month, I saw some beautiful vessels from Urban Butik. I think these Omaggio orange striped vases are beautiful and are perfect for Halloween. They also come in black and white stripes in a whole host of sizes here. Fill these vases up with mums or lilies for a fun Halloween centerpiece. Check out other great products on the Urban Butik website here. I hope you are all getting into…

It’s hard to believe, but Halloween is around the corner already. We’ve been getting some cute Halloween submissions and I love this glammed up PINK Halloween dessert table from Courtney of Pizzazzerie. I’m always a believer of surprising your guests with an unexpected color palette. I think this is especially fun for holidays when your guests will expect to see the traditional color palette. Courtney added a…

It’s starting to get cooler in NYC and it is the last opportunity here to go on a camp out before it gets too cold. Jeannie of Cakes by Jeannie sent over these pictures of her family reunion camp out held in Washington State Park, Missouri and I’m just loving all of the details. Jeannie and her parents, six siblings {and now their 15 kids!} spent a weekend at their cabin enjoying nature and plenty…

I’ve had some time off with the Jewish holidays and it has given me an opportunity to reflect (no, I was not on the beach in the above picture, although it does look pretty dreamy). I was away from the computer, blackberry, iphone, texting, etc. for a few days and it allowed me to actually enjoy my time off from work. This is not so easy for me. I’ve always had enormous drive. Actually, my…

It’s definitely a pinch-me-moment kind of day. Unless there are styling tips included in the article, I normally don’t bore you all with my press. But indulge me for today, because I’m a little over the moon to be featured in The New York Times today.
I shopped around town with the New York Times a few weeks ago and picked out some of my favorite vessels for dessert entertaining. We trekked around New York…

I’m back with Part II of the guest dessert feature from Jeanna Hayes and Suzanne of SHE PAPERIE + Design Boutique. If you missed Part I, you should definitely stop by here {it will be worth the click!} Above is the Sugar And Spice Sweets Station they created for the shoot and it is nothing short of spectacular. These pictures just make me happy. The dessert bar was set against a backdrop of vintage-like fabrics…

Jeanna Hayes, a photographer from Las Vegas, sent in these drool-worthy images of a photography workshop that she hosted for other photographers to hone their skills. Jeanna worked with Suzanne of SHE PAPERIE + design boutique to create a stylized “Sugar And Spice And Everything Nice” shoot so the photographers would have mounds of eye candy to shoot. I think any photographer would be a kid in a candy store if they had a chance…

Hello my baking friends…I’ve been taking some time off relaxing with family and am going to take a few more days since we’re heading into the Rosh Hashanah holidays.
In the meantime, I thought I’d leave you with a really sweet giveaway. My blogging friend Bakerella just came out with her highly anticipated cake pops book. Yes, you know who I am talking about. Bakerella started the cake pop frenzy and there will be an…

In the meantime, here is a fun and easy crafty diy project that you can do with your kids, nieces, nephews, etc. These are colored paper sacks that are simply stamped with school stamps that we found here. Simply fold over the bags, hole…

Linda of Holy Sweet from Sweden sent over these beautiful pictures of a dessert bar she created at a wedding exhibition called “Sommaralongen” at the Ulriksdals Slottsträdgårdar. Linda was a guest feature on Sweet Designs once before here. Linda is one of the first in Sweden to start a dessert table business and was inspired by our work to do so. I love the clean and tailored aesthetic of this dessert table and the bold…
