By: Amy, in Amy's Latest

Labor Day is the “unofficial” end of Summer in the states. It also means that the US Open is in full swing at Arthur Ashe Stadium and football season is about to start (Go Jets)! I can already feel the chill in the air. We are definitely summer people in the Amy Atlas office.  So today, we are going to do a round up of some of our favorite summer treats.  …

Sunflower Soiree – Guest Dessert Feature

After the rainy weekend we had in New York City, we were so happy to see this little ray of sunshine we received from Kelly Lyden of WH Hostess. Yesterday, we featured this dinosaur party that Kelly and Joanna collaborated on for Joanna’s son’s birthday.  This table was created by Kelly for her mother’s 60th birthday.  Celebrating her mother and the last bit of summer that was left, Kelly chose a crisp yellow and black…

Pool Party Guest Dessert Feature

Before we bid adieu to summer, we just had to post this party from photographer Kelly Anderson. Inspired by Loralee Lewis’ Sweetie Swim Cap paper collection, Kelly threw an outrageously fun pool party for her pre-school aged daughters and their families. Seriously, is there a better way to beat the summer heat than in the pool? With genius details like the basket of water balloons, squirt guns and a bubble dispenser for refilling bubble-blowers, this…

Happy Summer Guest Dessert Feature

As summer begins to wind down and the new school year is fast approaching, we are holding on to every bit of warm weather that we can.  How great is this table that we received from Amber Lyden at Let’s Party On?  The colors are so vibrant. Her Etsy shop sells all of the printables that you see here. Sweet treats included jumbo marshmallow popsicles, brownies infused with cream cheese frosting and bright frosting on…

July 4th Parade Guest Dessert Feature

Independence Day conjures up many memories in my mind.  One of which is parades.  This guest feature, sent to us by Jeannie Gearin of The Pastry Tip, was inspired by parades.  Jeannie brought in the mini tricycle prop and tricycle printables to represent that first taste of Freedom you have as a kid.  I remember it well.  How about you all?
The treats on this table can conjure up sweet summer memories for all of…

Lilly Pulitzer Inspired Guest Dessert Feature

Kori of Paper and Pigtails sent over this adorable Lilly Pulitzer-inspired dessert table that she created for her daughter’s 3rd birthday. Isn’t it lovely? Lilly often incorporates turtles into her summery designs and Kori did a great job bringing in all of the tortoise details.  I think this party would make any little girl crawl out of her shell!  With only a few more weeks of summer in the states, this makes me want to…

Summer Bicycle Inspired Wedding – Guest Feature

Esther of My Bride Story sent over these beautiful pictures of a summer bicycle inspired wedding she recently created for a special couple. The styling of this wedding exudes summer, doesn’t it? I love the yellow and white check linens, the beautiful floral peony and craspedia arrangements, the lattice fence sundae bar, and of course, all of the bike details! For all of you party hostesses, this summery design need not be limited to weddings.…

Pinwheels!

By: Amy, in Uncategorized

As we get ready for our last summer parties, I am trying to incorporate pinwheels. Pinwheels bring a festive feeling to a party and are great for both kids and adults. Kate’s Paperie is currently displaying these giant pinwheels in their window display. Aren’t they great?!

I recently found a great company that makes custom pinwheels that are terrific for parties. Pinwhirls , a division of Crossroads Cottage Biz whirls custom papers into personalized party…
