Mermaids and Pirates Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
It can sometimes be a challenge when planning a joint birthday party for a boy and a girl. One of our readers, Courtney Portner, created this mermaid party for her twins and we think it is fantastic for a boy/girl party. Inspired by Sarah Jane’s Out to Sea fabric line, Courtney combined her daughter’s love of mermaids and her son’s love of pirates in an untraditional pink and navy palette. We adore the embroidery hoops…

Pirate Party Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
This pirate party was styled by Jennifer of Sweet Affairs Event Design for a little boy’s fifth birthday. Jennifer’s goal was to create a fun party that was age appropriate without all of the skulls and crossbones. Sweet treats on the dessert table included cupcakes, pirate cake pops, parrot cookies, macarons and chocolate Oreos. How great is that cake? Props included burlap bags filled with candy.  Tiny guests walked away with lots of loot from…

X Marks The Spot Pirate Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
X Marks the spot for this pirate party that was sent to us by Kate from Kiss Me Kate in Australia. Kate styled this “mean, tough, and hearty” party for a little girl who loves pirates. Kate enlisted Anders Ruff to design printables that would bring the party to life. Skeleton props gave the party a spooky vibe. Sweet treats included sailboat whoopie pies, pirate cake pops, Malteser canon balls, “walk the plank” chocolate bars,…

Pirate Guest Dessert Feature

We’re loving this pirate party from Bec and Tammi of RubyJu.  The table included “pirate loot” like treasure gold chocolate coins, chocolate milk treasure bottles, pirate cake pops, anchor cookies, and skull treat bags. We love the props like the pirate ship sails, the treasure box, and wooden crates. It looks like the birthday boy scored some “gold” at his birthday party!  Scroll down for the vendor credits. To see more pirate features look here…

A Pirate’s Life Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
This pirate themed party almost threw us overboard! Johanna from Mums Little Party Secret sent us these photos from her son Morgan’s birthday. She and her husband decorated and constructed that pirate ship by hand (amazing!). Johanna also created the cupcakes and cake. After months of construction, the day finally arrived for Capt’n Morgan III’s maiden voyage. Johanna and here husband were fearful of housing the ship outside as storms were predicted. They made the…

Pirates Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
Ahoy Matey, today we are featuring a pirate party from Debbie from Wants and Wishes.  She created this party for her nephew Austin who loves pirates and treasures!  We thought the way Debbie arranged the table to look like a pirate’s ship was clever, with the use of this pirate ship kit.  Fun details included bottles as name tags, golden nugget treasure candy, and skull and crossbone signage. The “loot” included cupcakes, ring pops and…
