Sweet Origins: Sufganiyot for Hanukkah

The first night of Hanukkah is already this Saturday. My boys are already asking about when they’ll get to taste their Sufganiyot. On Hanukkah, it is a tradition to eat these jelly filled, deep fried doughnuts. It is just one of the fried foods {there are also latkes} that reminds us of the miracle that occurred during the Maccabean Revolt, when oil that was lighting the sacred lamp during the rededication of the holy temple…

Snowflake Guest Dessert Feature

This Winter Wonderland submission is from Kate from Kiss Me Kate in Australia. She just moved into a new home and threw a housewarming party. We love the stark contrast of the blue backdrop against the white desserts and vessels. Snowflakes adorned the backdrop and the cupcakes giving the table a wintery feel.
