Barbecue Bonanza Guest Dessert Feature {July 4th}

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
Tomorrow is a big day for barbecues in the states and we are sharing some really fun inspiration for you. This party was styled by Gayle from I Will Invitations in Australia for a friend’s 60th birthday party. We love the backdrop and all of the CLEVER treats. How fun are the “taco” split cookies filled with crushed chocolate biscuits for “minced meat” and dried fruit and coconut for the cheese, tomato and lettuce?! Other…

Little Red Riding Hood Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
How cute is this Little Red Riding Hood party that was styled by Melissa from M & M Party in Brazil for a friend’s daughter’s birthday? The party had a woodland vibe that was accentuated by the greenery in the birthday girl’s backyard. Brazilian sweets adorned the dessert table with a great cake created by Cecilia Pereira in the center. Our favorite part…the little red riding capes that covered the water bottles. Very cute. Photography…

Boys Will Be Boys Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
You know the old nursery rhyme “What Are Little Boys Made Of”?  We are feeling like this table personifies that question. Sling shots, pirates, baseball, boy scouts, and little red wagons are all little things that put big smiles on lots of little boys. This party was styled by Jennifer from Honeycomb Events for her son’s birthday party using printables from her shop. The printables are great for a summer picnic. Sweet treats on the…

Down Under Dad’s Day Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
Father’s day was celebrated on September 2nd in Australia this year and we received some great Father’s day inspiration from our friends down under. We love this party from Anastasia at Articulate Events in Perth. Anastasia, along with the help of Ezy Furnishing, created this party for all of the fathers at her church. She decided on a “Dude Food” spread for them and we love what she did.  Food on the table consisted of…

Gloriously Gingham Guest Desert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
This party was sent to us by Dawn from Ruby May Designs. She created this gingham and stripes party for her son’s second birthday. The cake, bunting, cupcakes and goodie bags were all created by Dawn. We love the cake with the licorice allsorts. The pom poms hung across the other cake using paper straws is a simple way to dress up your desserts. The adorable A cookies were made by Nikki Coogle. The backdrop…

Western Wonderland Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
We received this Western Woderland themed party from Kate at Piece of Cake Parties & Celebrations down under. For her son’s 4th birthday, she transformed her backyard into a barn and decked it out with horse props including hay, a wine barrel, and a wagon wheel. Sweet treats included toffee apples, wagon wheels, cupcakes, cookies (how cute are they?), and cake pops. Mini glass milk bottles and cowboy boot cups filled with chocolate milk sat…

Sunflower Soiree – Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
After the rainy weekend we had in New York City, we were so happy to see this little ray of sunshine we received from Kelly Lyden of WH Hostess. Yesterday, we featured this dinosaur party that Kelly and Joanna collaborated on for Joanna’s son’s birthday.  This table was created by Kelly for her mother’s 60th birthday.  Celebrating her mother and the last bit of summer that was left, Kelly chose a crisp yellow and black…

Dolce! Featured Submission

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
We received this sweet submission from Alessandra of Almalu’s Place in Italy.  I thought this table was very sweet, simple and approachable.  Alessandra created this table for a Back 2 School party but it can easily be translated to a holiday party or small gathering.  All of the items were homemade.  Molto Bene!…
