Cat In The Hat Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
This Dr. Seuss Cat In The Hat party was styled by Flavia from Flavia Almeida Photography in Brazil for her kids’ 2nd and 3rd birthday parties. How fantastic are those cakes?!  We also love the hat centerpieces on the tables and the Thing 1 and Thing 2 goody bags. Sweet treats on the dessert table included Thing 2 cupcakes and macarons, chocolate lollipops and the two hat cakes by Acucareiro.  We call this…Fun-In-A-Party!  Great job!  …

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
Nadia and Paola from CutiePie Sweets in the Domincan Republic styled this party for a little boy’s first birthday party. Sweet treats on the dessert table included macarons, vanilla cupcakes with Nutella filling and buttercream frosting, marshmallow pops, caramel popcorn, meringue, and decorated cookies. We love the bright colors and how the polka dot and striped patterns created a whimsical feel. Guests took home a personalized Cat In The Hat coloring book and a lunchbox…

Seussical Soiree Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
This Dr. Seuss party was sent to us by Catherine from Serendipity Soiree. Her daughter’s 1st grade class studied Theodor Seuss Geisel for their author studies and honored what would have been his 108th birthday by filming a production of Cat in the Hat. Catherine created a Seussical soiree for the production. She brought the book to life with illustrated signage and illustrations for the backdrop. We love the illustrated cake and red velvet cookies.…

The Lorax Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
We have always been a big fan of Dr. Seuss books and this Lorax dessert table from Marjaneh at Candybar Couture captured the essence of the story. Marjaneh created this party for her son’s birthday. We love incorporating vessels into the design of the party and Marjaneh did that well with the Lorax decorated apothecary jar. She simply filled an apothecary jar with red jelly beans and decorated it with Whimsical Printables. Sweet treats on…

Kelly of Paper Stories sent in this whimsical, kid-appropriate Dr. Seuss-inspired dessert bar so I could share it with you. I recently wrote on Stroller Traffic about creating a book-themed party for kids and this is a perfect example of a book-themed party.  In our home, we read Dr. Seuss books all the time and “Green Eggs and Ham” is a staple in the bedtime routine so I really enjoyed seeing this table.  Kelly labeled…

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
Today would have been the 108th birthday of Theodor Seuss Geisel p/k/a Dr. Seuss. In his honor, we are reposting a couple of Dr. Seuss themed parties that we featured last year.  I will not eat green eggs and ham! When we saw this submission, we were jumping for joy. ‘Cause this party is great for a girl or a boy. We received it from Alison, a cake maker down under. She styled the…

When we saw this submission, we were jumping for joy. ‘Cause this party is great for a girl or a boy. We received it from Alison, a cake maker down under. She styled the table for her son, oh what a great mother. It was her son’s birthday, so it had to great. She started by making that Cat in the Hat cake. The palette was whimsical, bold and yet sweet. Book titles were used…
