Dress Up Party Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
We are leaving you this week with an adorable party that was styled by one of our readers, Courtney Portner, for her daughter’s birthday. Courtney used American Girl Doll Saige and Riley Blake’s “Dress Up Days” fabric as the inspiration for a Dress Up Dolly party. We are smitten with the gorgeous hand decorated cookies, the fondant toppers for the cupcakes, and the clothing pin-clad cake pops. Other fun details included a doll clothesline garland…

Construction Zone Guest Dessert Feature

This afternoon, we showed you this fun construction party. Now we’re back with another construction party from Rachel of Fondant Flinger. Sweet treats included peanut butter buckeyes, “rock” cake balls, traffic ice cream cones, marshmallow pops, and cupcakes. A seven foot wooden crane that was built by Rachel’s husband held a “wrecking ball” which was the highlight of the party.…

Feeling Groovy Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
Deanna from Mirabelle Creations created this groovy 70’s inspired disco party for her daughter’s 9th birthday. She wanted to give the table a modern and sophisticated twist so she used  the very popular chevron pattern in an aqua, lime green, and slate color palette. How great is the chevron designed cake using Sixlets?  We think it is fabulous. You can use any type of small candy to create pattern on your cake. We’ve even used…

For more chevron inspiration that we created, look here.  …

Chevron Inspired Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
We received this little gem from Daisy Kelvin who created this table for her husband’s 40th birthday. Daisy’s design inspiration was the classic Chevron pattern from the iconic Missoni textiles. We love the clean, graphic elegance of this classic zig zag, especially in Daisy’s orange and navy color palette. The chevron pattern was used to line vessels, printed on the tags and labels used throughout the table, and cleverly applied to cookies. Desserts included a…
