Butterfly Garden Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
This pretty butterfly party was styled by Margit from dot & dash parties. The table was inspired by a quote from “The Butterfly” by Hans Christian Andersen and the simple white butterflies that she sees all summer long. We love the wreath that Margit hung above the dessert table. Sweet treats included a butterfly adorned cake, daisy cookie wands,  peanut butter and jelly tea sandwiches, flower candies, marshmallows, cupcakes, caramel corn and lemonade. The little…

Fall Baby Shower Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
This fall inspired dessert table for a baby shower was styled by Miranda from Whimsical Printables. Miranda created the burlap and lace bunting for a focal point above the table. She also hung tea-lit filled mason jars with twine from the trees. Sweet treats on the desert table included cake pops, chocolate covered Oreos, sugar cookies and brigadeiros. Her client did not want a big cake so Miranda chose a bundt cake which worked with…

Burlap And Bluegrass Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
We are all about a little bluegrass music and this party from Lisa at Step Brightly Creative Group got us right in the mood. Lisa styled this party for a little boy’s birthday. Since the grandfather was a professional banjo player and the birthday boy loves music, it seemed fitting to have a music-themed party. Flea market finds, a vintage quilt, and a petite size banjo were just some of the props that Lisa used.…

Sweet Love Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
We have another pretty dessert feature on the blog today.  This one is from Dewi of Sweet Bloom Cakes, who created an elegant dessert table for her friend’s wedding. The beachfront venue, The Boat House in Sydney Palm Beach, was the perfect setting for the event. Dewi chose a romantic palette of pinks, greens and neutrals, and accessorized the dessert table with pink peonies, milk glass stands and burlap. It worked so well with the…

Elegant Rustic Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
This table by Saneth at Illuminations Designs is a chocolate lover’s dream. She and some local Colorado vendors joined together to create this rustic chocolate dessert table. The table was simple and approachable and since  the overall design was kept neutral, they incorporated surfaces like lace, burlap, cork, and antique brass. Sweet treats included chocolate truffles, meringue and chocolate martinis. Yum! Scroll down to see the vendor credits. If you like this post, click here…

Linen & Lace Guest Dessert Feature

We received this beautiful Linen & Lace dessert table from Alexandra at Avie & Lulu. There are so many pretty and feminine features in this table.  We love the heart shaped cookies and the baskets that are reminiscent of bird nests. The mood and tone of the party was inspired by the beautiful invites Alexandra found from Little Paper Pantry.  The highlight of the day was a giveaway teapot gift in the “Guess How Many…

Vintage Tricycle Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
Burlap and blue…we love that combination for boys. We received this submission from Amanda from The Kawaii Notebook. She created this party for her son’s first birthday. Amanda decided on a vintage tricycle theme after finding inspiration from a cute printable package that she found on Style Me Gorgeous. Finding props proved to be almost as much fun as planning the party. Amanda bounced around to vintage flee markets and found great items on Sharnell…

Burlap Flower Tutorial

By: Amy Atlas, in DIY and Templates
We had so many emails about the burlap flowers from Tuesday’s Sweet Baby Shower feature from the ladies over at Spaceships and Laserbeams that I asked Stephanie to provide us an exclusive DIY tutorial.  They are incredibly easy, inexpensive and a great way to provide that vertical element. Here’s her step by step account: The materials needed are items practically anyone has access to: burlap, yarn, a thin black marker and pinking shears (you can…
