Pirate Party Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
This pirate party was styled by Jennifer of Sweet Affairs Event Design for a little boy’s fifth birthday. Jennifer’s goal was to create a fun party that was age appropriate without all of the skulls and crossbones. Sweet treats on the dessert table included cupcakes, pirate cake pops, parrot cookies, macarons and chocolate Oreos. How great is that cake? Props included burlap bags filled with candy.  Tiny guests walked away with lots of loot from…

Diary of a Wimpy Kid Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
This party made me smile because my older son recently read Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Margarita from Party Inspirations in Australia styled this party for her son’s birthday since her son also loves the book. Sweet treats on the dessert table included cupcakes and cake pops made by mom and personalized chocolate bars. Margarita also made the tassel garland and cake stand bunting. Margarita purchased a classic New York Cheesecake from Patisserie New York…

Up In The Air Guest Dessert Feature

How awesome is this airplane party styled by Karolina from Karo’s Fun Land for her son’s birthday party? We think the design works for both adult and kid parties. We love how she mixed diagonal, vertical and horizontal stripes. Her use of different stripes plus other patterns like chevron and dots works here because she also brought in a lot of white to give the eyes a little rest from the much pattern. This is a…

The color palette was aqua, lime green, orange and black. Kathryn hired a local Austin musician to play music for the kids and at the end of the concert, the kids had a chance to bang on his drum. Sweet treats on…

Pantone Party Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
We figured you guys could use a little inspiration today. We LOVE this pantone party that was sent to us by Vesna from My Little Jedi in Australia. Last year, we featured her son’s Willy Wonka inspired 2nd birthday and we are back today with a rainbow of colors for his third. Vesna kept the backdrop neutral so that the colors would pop. The tassel garland and paper lanterns by Bianca from Blush Loves Mint…

Under The Blue Sea Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
We always talk about finding inspiration from difference places. Natasha from Nevie-Pie Cake styled this party for her daughter’s 6th birthday and found her inspiration from a panel of Ralph Lauren fabric. She incorporated the blue and white color scheme and line drawing to the cake elements. How fun are those sugar “oyster” cookies? Other sweet treats on the dessert table included vanilla cotton candy, cupcakes with line drawing fondant toppers, meringue, gingerbread dipped pearl…
