Hexagon Soccer Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
Amanda of Red Wagon Events created this modern party for her soccer-loving son Lucca’s 6th birthday. Amanda used the hexagon shape on soccer balls to inspire the design of the party. We love the backdrop and the green, black and white color palette. Amanda also incorporated Est. 2007 since that was the year her son was born! Sweet treats on the dessert table included a two tiered fondant cake, hexagon cupcakes, white chocolate mousse, hexagon…

40th Birthday Big Bang Theory Party

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
We’re geeking out this morning with this Big Bang Theory themed dessert table by Lily of Lily Chic Events. Lily created the party for her husband’s 40th birthday party. Since her husband has a physics degree and her family loves watching Big Bang Theory together {we can relate!}, this was a great theme. We love the “test pattern” design and all of the colors. Sweet treats on the dessert table included Tetris cookies, Nerd Candy,…

Mermaid Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
Kenna of Miss Party Mom designed this dessert table for a very lucky mermaid-loving girl’s birthday. With all the sparkles and glitter, this is like a little girl’s dream! We love the pink, purple and aqua palette, the fish scale mermaid cake, and the shell and mermaid cake pops! Other sweets on the dessert table included salt water taffy, underwater pearl gum balls, and macarons. The birthday girl’s mom, a photographer, set up a little…

Ice Cream Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
How sweet is this birthday party by Dani of The Little Soiree? She created the party for her ice cream loving son’s 3rd birthday. It’s getting warm in Australia where Dani is based, but we’d be game for this party any day of the year! We love how playful the oversized balloons are against the dotted backdrop that Dani created. Dani also designed the invite and the printables. Guests created their own ice cream cones…

Mad Scientist Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
How fabulous is this Mad Scientist party from Alexis of Sugar Sweet Buffets? Since her son loves science, she pulled out beakers, test tubes, microscopes, and a science classroom blackboard backdrop for his 7th birthday. We love the lime green, charcoal and black color palette for this theme. Upon arrival, guests were given Doctor identification name tags and safety glasses to wear. Sweet treats on the dessert table included that fabulous science themed chocolate mud…

Italian Vespa Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
As I’ve mentioned before, my beloved late father loved riding his vespa and I always get excited when I see a vespa. When Anne of UR Invited sent us this Italian Vespa party, I almost fell off my seat. Not only did it remind me of dad, but it also transported our team right into the alps and Venetian canals of Italy. Anne told us that the birthday lady was choosing whether to have a…

Boys Will Be Boys Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
You know the old nursery rhyme “What Are Little Boys Made Of”?  We are feeling like this table personifies that question. Sling shots, pirates, baseball, boy scouts, and little red wagons are all little things that put big smiles on lots of little boys. This party was styled by Jennifer from Honeycomb Events for her son’s birthday party using printables from her shop. The printables are great for a summer picnic. Sweet treats on the…

Art Party Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
This art party was sent to us by Dona Aranha and was styled for an artistic brother and sister duo who were turning 3 and 6 years old. Upon arrival, each guest received an apron, clay, and paint. White fondant cakes were the white canvases and the budding artists created their own cakes. Sweet treats on the dessert table included brigadeiros, colorful rainbow mousse, cookies, brownies and cupcakes. We love the mini versions of the…

Rainbows And Butterflies Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
Rainbow parties were a big trend this year and it doesn’t seem like they are going away.  There is something about the cornucopia of colors that can make anyone feel good. Kelly from Kelly Allison Photography styled this party for her daughter’s 4th birthday. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches were neatly packaged in rainbow striped bags for lunch with apple juice in mason jars to wash it down. Sweet treats on the dessert table included…

The Big 4-0 Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
This party was styled by Seri and Michelle from Little Miss Party Planner for their client who was turning the big 4-0. Since their client is a baseball, fan, they  subtly incorporated baseball snacks like concession-stand popcorn, pretzels and peanuts. Sweet treats on the dessert table included cupcakes with the client’s picture as a child playing ball, “40” brownie pops, cookies, a birthday cake, and mini cheesecakes. Seri created popcorn boxes using templates from Sweet…

Brown Bear Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
The other day, we featured this Very Hungry Caterpillar party inspired by the work of Eric Carle. Today, we’re featuring another party inspired by his Brown Bear book. For anyone with a small child, this featured submission will put a smile on your face. The “Brown Bear” and “Polar Bear” books were staples in my house when my boys were young. They loved the illustrations and the bright colors. Courtney Portner brought the book to…

Goldfish Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
When my boys were toddlers, they loooved Goldfish. When I saw this party pop up in our inbox, it brought back great memories. Mags of Oh So Chic Celebrations styled a table inspired by the crispy treat for a baby show. Mags used orange to represent goldfish and blue to represent water. We love the simplistic and clean signage and that cake pop cake! Other sweet treats on the dessert table included Goldfish cake pops…

Having A Ball Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions
This sweet party was sent to us by Gretchen from Three Little Monkeys Studio. Her grandmother hit a huge milestone this year when she turned 90 and Gretchen wanted to celebrate in style. When she and her mom were trying to think of a theme, they kept reminiscing about her grandparents farm and gardens filled with zinnias. So a zinnias and vintage mason jar birthday seemed like a fitting way to celebrate her grandma. They…

We are loving the cakes in these guest submissions today. Lisa, from the Swedish blog Sockerrus (which means “sugar rush), sent us this sweet submission.  Lisa did everything for this party from the styling to the baking. She created this table for her daughter’s “Diva” Party. We love the use  of the edible picture sheets on the cake, cupcake toppers, and cookies. Sweet treats included cookies with attitude, chocolate “disco” balls with coconut flakes, goddess…

Snow White Inspired Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
We received this Snow White inspired party from Susana and Clara at Dulce Sobremesa. We first met the Dulce Sobremesa ladies when they sent us this Amy Atlas Moment back in July. This Snow White table was for a little girl’s third birthday. Instead of using the classic red, blue and yellow colors, they used a light coral and aquamarine color palette with sunglow yellow and beige to make it softer. We love the banner…
