I landed in Israel this morning so I thought it was the perfect time to share this “Around The Atlas” from Israel with you. This beautiful dessert table was styled by Shiran from Sweeterie for an intimate wedding of approximately 20 guests. We love how simplistic, yet elegant this party is. Sweet treats on the dessert table included a fruit tart, macarons, strawberry and cream shots, banana dulce de leche chocolate shots, brownies, chocolate covered…

Courtly Love Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
Valentine’s Day is approaching us quickly and we are loving this sweet Valentine’s Day party that was styled by Sofia from BistrotChic in Portugal for her daughter and friends. The style of this party was a throw back to the original spirit of Valentine – l’amour courtois – a European expression of pure love and admiration that flourished in medieval times. The expression of love was offered by presenting flowers, offering confectionery and writing greeting…

This “Around the Atlas” came to us from Michelle at Sami & Bella in the Philippines. Michelle styled this party for a little girl’s first birthday party and used indigenous Filipino materials to create a vintage cultural Filipino theme. Instead of a dessert table, a dessert bahay kubo was created out of bamboo to house the desserts which was also represented in the fabulous cake created by Goldilocks. Sweet treats included local sweets like homemade …

Around the Atlas: Brazil

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
This “Around the Atlas” is from Brazil and was created by Luciana of Atelie Festejar for the birthday party of her two sons. She wanted to have a theme that they would both enjoy and came up with a toy theme. We often hear from readers that is hard to find products in Brazil and other countries that we can get so easily in the US. This was the case for Luciana so she decided…

This “Around the Atlas” came all the way from one of our readers, Junita from Kinderplays, in Indonesia.  Junita wanted to create a Beauty and The Beast themed table but wanted it to be very subtle.  She decided to focus on the the enchanted rose.  We like the matching striped backdrop and gift-wrapped vessels. Around the Atlas: Ireland

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
We received this “Around the Atlas” from Flavia in Ireland.  Flavia created this cute car party for her son’s 2nd birthday. Flavia created a table that was full of vibrant colors reminiscent of her Brazilian heritage, despite the limited suppliers in Ireland. I always say inspiration can be found everywhere. Flavia found the inspiration for the orange and turquoise color palette from a Gap shirt that she bought for her son to wear. She created…

There are so many things we love about Brazil, the fifth largest country in the world. The year round tropical climate, the colorful culture of its people and, of course, Carnival! I was there right before I had my first son and had a wonderful time in Rio de Janeiro and Iguassu Falls.  This “Around the Atlas” came from Marianna and Juanna from OBBA Paperia. They created this dessert table for a fashion show at…

Around the Atlas: Colombia

By: Amy Atlas, in Amy's Latest
This party came all the way from Colombia.  Sent to us by Anna and Maria, they created this construction party for  a little boy’s birthday party. The color palette is perfect for this time of year in the states and could easily be translated to a fall or Halloween party by making some of the elements a little spooky. How great are those tool chocolates? Adding a little red could easily make them spookier. The…

It is always amazing to me to see how far our inspiration reaches. It is exciting and humbling at the same time. This feature came all the way from Guatemala. We love the fact that the dessert table trend has made its way over to Central America, and that we get to share these dessert tables from Around the Atlas.  Hans from Wunderkeks (German for wonder cookies) created this table for the launch of…
