Queen of Hearts Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
We’re loving this dessert table sent to us by Monaliz of Bella Sweets. The dessert table was for Monaliz’ very own baby shower and was inspired by the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland. It is a refreshing take on what we normally see with Alice in Wonderland parties because she focused on one element in the story and because of the red, pink, black and white color palette. Sweets treats included red velvet…

This incredible Alice in Wonderland Mad Hatter tea party was styled by Zehra from Couture Event Styling in Australia for a little girl’s 7th birthday. Seriously, there are SO many fabulous details here. We love how Zehra brought the chaos of Wonderland into the decor of the party. Sweet treats were displayed in the middle of a table surrounded by all of the Wonderland guests. Desserts included cake pops, tea cup shaped macarons {brilliant}, White…

We are all about Alice today. This morning we featured this Alice in Wonderland inspired dessert display. We are back now with Alice’s softer side. This party was designed by Gerri and Carole of Little Birdie Events in Australia for a little girl’s birthday party. Rosette fans were used to create a backdrop. Gerri and Carole created two tables. Sweet treats on the main dessert table included cupcakes, Queen of Hearts raspberry jam tarts, playing…

Bright colors and a myriad of vessels were used to give the table a sense of whimsy. Sweet treats included cupcakes, cake pops, macarons, sugar cookies, petite eclairs, mini berry tarts, a donut tower, push pops and chocolate mousse. There was also a gourmet popcorn bar and…

Abby in Wonderland Guest Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
We loved the interpretation on “Alice in Wonderland”  in this next feature. Emmy from Beyond Desserts created this table for a 2 year old girl’s birthday party. The little girl loves Sesame Street so Emmy brought in the character Abby from the show and created an “Abby in Wonderland” theme. All of the desserts were created by Emmy. Sweet treats included sugar cookies, cake pops and cupcakes. The real star, however, is that cake. The…

This week we’ve got tea parties on the mind at Amy Atlas HQ (did you see yesterday’s High Tea?). Renee and Alex of The Inspired Occasion sent us this Alice in Wonderland themed tea party they created for Jasmine’s 8th birthday party. To set the scene, guests received invitations in a white box topped with tissue paper flowers. Fun elements of Alice’s madcap world showed up in the divine teapot shaped cake, the teapot cookies…

Alice in Wonderland Guest Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
We receive a lot of Alice in Wonderland themed dessert tables, but we wanted to share this clever and colorful one from Estela Curion of www.caraminholando.com.br in Brazil.  We love the innovative use of playing cards for an actual vessel for desserts.  How neat is that?  Estela used a glue-gun to hold the playing cards together.  You can take this idea and use it for a game night party and it would be fantastic.  The…

Alice in Wonderland Guest Dessert Feature

I’m back with my 3rd guest feature of the day!  This one comes from Kasey Buick, who created a beautiful Alice in Wonderful dessert spread for her daughter’s 8th birthday. I get A LOT of Alice in Wonderland submissions, but this one stood out from the rest.  I love the layered vintage lace linens, the gorgeous chandelier and props, and the “eat me” printed bags.  The paper flower and butterfly garland, birdcage backdrop, and wonderland…

Photography by Andrea Carlyle. The highly anticipated Alice in Wonderland is coming out this Friday. Well, just in time, the amazing Julie Gallagher and Alex Royston from In Good Company of South Africa, has emailed me photos of an AMAZING Alice in Wonderland photo shoot that would have made Charles Lutwidge Dodgson smile. In Good Company styled the shoot for an Alice in Wonderland bridal shower tea party shoot, but the inspiration can be used…
