Pink & Pampered Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
Jenny from Bloom Designs created this “sparty” for her daughter’s ninth birthday. It was complete with facials, make your own bath salts and, thanks to the California weather, a dip in the pool. We love the hot pink vanity mirrors and the towels tied on the chairs. Jenny also incorporated creative spa terms into the sweets. The girls dined on “spa”wiches, curlers, pumpkin peel fruit salad, “spa”rfaits, and seaweed wraps. Their sweet “treat”ments included bit…

Beauty & Bubbles Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
Almost every girl loves to be pampered. This party was created by Anne from UR invited for a little 6 year old girl. Anne was inspired by a spa party printable set. Sweet treats on the dessert table included pink frosted cupcakes reminiscent of a fuzzy robe, cake pops, and jello. Le Petite Spa and Beauty pampered and glammed up the little girl and her friends with their Lil’ Miss Gorgeous Pamper Pack. Every guest…

What’s Cooking for Mother’s Day?

By: Amy Atlas, in Amy's Latest, Behind The Scenes
Photo by Johnny Miller. Courtesy of Sweet Designs: Bake It Craft It Style It. How is it already Mother’s Day?  As a mom, I’m usually thinking of everyone else’s holidays and often forget when special occasions come up that celebrate me. I’m sure I’m not alone on this one, right? I’m curious what you all do for Mother’s Day? Do you get pampered by your kids and spouse?  Do you find yourself in the kitchen…

Spa Party Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
Danielle from Cutie Putti Paperie sent us this spa party that she created for her cousin’s 9th birthday. The living room was transformed into “Amanda’s Spa” with manicure, pedicure and facial stations. They were greeted by a “receptionist” that gave them a spa robe, headbands, and a refreshing bottle of water. After visiting each pampering station, the girls had a spa lunch. Sweet treats included lipstick push pops {brilliant!}, sugar cookies and bubble bath cake…

Spa Day Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
We are always up for a mani/pedi at the Amy Atlas office. We thought this “Mani & Pedi Spa party” was so cute and had to share it with you. After all, everyone needs to be pampered, right? This featured submission was sent to us by Nicole at One Magic Day. Using her first printable party collection, she styled this party for a little girl’s 8th birthday party. Nicole chose a palette reminiscent of the…

Potty Like a Rockstar Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
We received this submission from Mindy at Get Creative Juice and almost fell off our seats! In Mindy’s quest to potty train her daughter, she came across a philosophy to “potty train in a day”. Part of the advice was to “throw the child a potty party”.  We think she took that to a whole new level. She invited all of her daughter’s friends over who were “in training” & their personal trainers (their moms)…

Spa Day Party {Part II}

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
This morning, we showed you the stunning photos of the dessert table from the spa party that Emma Smith created for her daughter’s 9th birthday. We are back with “spa” photos. Emma made the robes, masks and slippers by hand. The ladies were pampered with manicures and pedicures. Knowing it is always a little difficult for 9 year olds to sit still, Emma also had a singing and dance competition for the girls. The goody…

Spa Day Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids
We are so in love with this party. Maybe it is the warm coral and sea green palette or the idea of having a spa day. Either way, we thought it was executed perfectly. This submission was sent to us by Emma from Emma Smith Stationery. Emma’s daughter told her she wanted a “Tropical Day Spa” for her birthday. After several trips to the fabric and craft stores, Emma was ready to make (yes,

S’mores Day Roundup

By: Amy Atlas, in Recipes
Photo credits above:  1)  Frozen S’mores 2)  S’more Cakelettes 3)  S’mores Tarts S’mores may be the one kid’s treat adults feel no shame in eating. Whether you spent your childhood summers in front of a campfire or in the middle of the city, that gooey chocolate sandwich is nostalgia in dessert form. However you toast your marshmallow (from golden brown to burnt black), half the fun is in building your s’more. Of course, we love…
