As I’ve mentioned before, my beloved late father loved riding his vespa and I always get excited when I see a vespa. When Anne of UR Invited sent us this Italian Vespa party, I almost fell off my seat. Not only did it remind me of dad, but it also transported our team right into the alps and Venetian canals of Italy. Anne told us that the birthday lady was choosing whether to have a party or go to Italy for her big day. When the birthday lady decided to have a party, Anne made sure to bring Italy to her with the party theme! There are so many things we love about this party, but some of our favorites include the chalkboard tabletop labeling the food, Colosseum and gondola signage, the arrangement of food on the antipasto table, and the use of dried pasta and wine bottle arrangements to add height to the table. The antipasto table had traditional Italian fare like prosciutto, tomato mozzarella olive sticks, provolone and rustic bread. A dessert table included a vespa cake, panna cotta, gelato, tiramisu, budino, torrone, biscotti, limoncello, and vespa cupcakes.MAGNIFICO!
Fun Fact: Only 3 to 4 Gondolier licenses are issued annually. To qualify, applicants must finish extensive training and pass a rigorous exam.
