We are huge music lovers so this classic rock party styled by Ivana and Michal from Petit Gateau is right up our alley. They created this for a group of ladies who were celebrating the big 5-0. The party theme was focused on rock ‘n roll bands from the 60’s, which is when the birthday ladies were born. Record artwork from Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors and The Beatles were used for a backdrop on the dessert table. Vinyl records were made into tiered dessert stands and an army gas tank and army wooden boxes were used to symbolize the war. Sweet treats on the dessert table included mini cheesecake, chocolate mousse with coffee cream, decorated butter cookies, espresso meringues, and fudge brownies. They rocked it out with this party!

FUN FACT: When the Rolling Stones played on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1967, they were asked not to sing the song Let’s Spend the Night Together. They ultimately compromised on substituting the words “the night” with “some time” during the performance. Mick rolled his eyes when he said time. You can see the performance here. Sullivan banned them from appearing on the show after that date.
