We talked a little bit about Kakiemon this morning so it is fitting that we are featuring a Japanese style sushi party this afternoon. This party was styled by Melissa from The Sweet Society for a little girl’s 10th birthday. Each child was presented with their own Kimono and took party in a Sushi making workshop. The placemats doubled up as coloring sheets for the children to take home. Props included sushi mats and bamboo bowls, as well as take out containers for favors. We LOVE the sushi cake pops and the clever use of sprinkles as the rice. The hand-drawing on the fondant fish is also very clever. Other sweet treats on the dessert table included cupcakes, cookies, cake and candy. Guests took home fortune cookies as they left. Great job! Scroll down for the vendor credits.
