Thanksgiving is finally here tomorrow. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. Thanksgiving is hands down my favorite holiday (except for the all of the sweets on Halloween, of course). It is a time when my whole family comes together to eat, share stories, reconnect. We talk into the very late hours of the night, while re-warming stuffing and sweet potato pie leftovers. I look forward to it more than any single day of the year. We always eat pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving, but I thought this clever take on pumpkin pie cookies was too cute not to share. These are from my friend Bridget’s new book Decorating Cookies.
You all know her, right? She’s the gal that gives amazing cookie tutorials here. I met Bridget on our Sweet Designs book tour stop in Houston and she is as sweet as her cookie recipes. Back to those cookies. What I love about Bridget’s cookie recipes is that she breaks down the step-by-step tutorials so well. Let’s face it…cookie decorating and the thought of royal icing can make some scream. Scroll down below and you’ll feel armed with confidence to make your own decorated cookies. Her tutorials make it look effortless. Her book is filled with them so head on over and get it. Until then, eat lots of pumpkin pie! Happy Thanksgiving!
