We’re Going On…..

vacation Were Going On…..

We’re going on a blog-cation until Labor Day.  Hey, everyone needs a little rest, right?  Not to worry…we’ll be posting some  of our throwback favorites on Facebook and Twitter while we’re away. We’ll be back full swing after Labor Day with lots of inspiration {keep sending your submissions so we can get ‘em ready!}

In the meantime, below is a peek of what I’m doing while on vacation. It has been a very busy year and I’m relishing some much needed time with my family. We’re spending time in a lovely house by the beach. Our days are filled with cooking, biking, swimming, beach, and sports. Honestly, it was desperately needed. After a busy year like this one, I think it is necessary to turn “off” and decompress with family and friends. This environment has certainly made it easy for us. It will be hard to head back to the city after this.  Until then, we’re taking it all in.

What are you doing to decompress for the end of summer? Please share.

  1. Love the ripped up recipe sheet your son has!

    It’s very important to unwind and disconnect. Glad to hear you are enjoying it!

  2. This is so sweet. I love the closeness cooking provides for your family, something to admire amongst the many. My favorite though are the instructions to Pesto…a little giggle (ok a big one) from me.

No need for a vacation yet but I can’t wait for the time when I will have earned one. Thank you so much for your blog, it is a great inspirational and teaching tool for me. Your “blogcation” will give me time to catch up on past posts!

Hope you are enjoying some well deserved time out, I was tired just reading what you have done thus far this year with your book launch etc so can only imagine how busy it must have been for you an your family. Enjoy the break :-) My holiday won’t start till after Christmas (summer here in Ozz) and I’ll be off with my family for a well deserved cruise with me staying away from the kitchen lol.
