Flavia from fete-a-fete created this colorful chevron patterned dessert table for her son’s first birthday. The theme was “Time Flies” playing with the numbers 1 through 12 representing her son’s age in months. Clocks were made a focal point on the wall and the chevron pattern created a happy atmosphere. We love the DIY crafts on the table from the balloon wreath to the food card holders. Our readers often ask about styling food and Flavia did a great job incorporating food into the table by using rainbow sticks and mini pom toothpicks. Sweet treats on the dessert table included chocolate covered pretzels, macarons, passion fruit mousse, rainbow cake pops and chocolate bars. Colorful play dough was given to the guests as they left. Great job!
How do you get your kids involved in helping plan parties? We love how Flavia had her kids help her create all of the DIY crafts on the table.

Very sweet! … And I want to go to her house and steal one of those fabulous clocks.
Thank you, Stephanie! Glad you like it
Some of the clocks I had for a long time, but you can still find some of them at Amazon…
