Romantic Ruffles Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions

We love ruffles. Who doesn’t?  Last year we explored ruffles in our “Turn Your Closet Into Confections” series and wish we had this cake! This romantic feature was sent to us by Alex from Avie & Lulu. She created this table for the Christening of her friend’s daughter. This romantic ruffled themed dessert table included ruffled heart cake and cookies by Anita of Cake Envy, a heart candy cake, scalloped vessels, and doily-wrapped chocolate bars. Great job.

Get lost in more ruffled features here and here.

Styling: Avie and Lulu

  • Thank you for posting this beautiful table that Alex & Sophie from Avie & Lulu put together for my daughter’s christening (Paris). The theme ‘a new little hand to hold, a new little heart to love’ inspired this ruffle love heart table. This phrase meant a lot to me as we lost a daughter two years ago from a heart condition, so what better way to honour her and the new little blessing (Paris) she gave us with a love heart theme. Avie & Lulu styled the table to perfection and together with Ham & Peas buffet labels ( to match the laser cut invitations Li Ann designed and made for me), it was a truly beautiful table in every way. Thank you to Little Pea Photos for the beautiful photography too. Of course, I, Cake Envy, made the desserts (with the exception of the macarons). Thank you again for featuring this very special table

    • It is always such a pleasure photographing such beautiful works of art. Thanks for the opportunity.
