If you know me, you’ll know that I’m a sucker for an Ikat print. So today we’re studying the ethnic Ikat print from our pattern glossary board. I have the impressionist print in lots of bold colors nestled in my home, like my Louis XVI armchair above. Bright coral and hot pink Ikat prints from one of my favorite fabric shops adorn custom benches in my home as well. The print screams resort and makes me want to take a trip somewhere exotic, which is probably why I love it in my home. Don’t use it just for interiors, though. A party design or dessert table would look fabulous with this nomadic print that comes in every color and scale. How have you used the iconic Ikat print?

Love Ikat print! Used the print to cover the top and bottom interior of an invitation box — so fun and unexpected!
Those Ikat print jeans are wild. Totally jealous of the chair.
