This sweet Mary Poppins inspired tea party was sent to us by Jenny from Jenny cookies. This brought back elementary school memories since I played Mary in my fifth grade play! It was also the first broadway show that we took our kids to see. Back to the party…..Jenny threw this party for her daughter. With 30 minutes to decorate the party, she had to move at “umbrella” speed. Jenny made six small cakes in different colors and textures. Other sweet treats included a spoonful of sugar cake pops (brilliant) , macarons, and sugar cookies. The girls sipped apple juice “tea”, nibbled on spoonfuls of sugary treats, played musical chairs to Mary Poppins songs, balanced tea cups on their heads, rode a carousel, and fed penguins. We love the color palette and the whimsical feel of this party. Each guest was given a beautiful white umbrella to take home with them. Beautiful.
