Australia Day Guest Feature

As we mentioned, Australia Day was celebrated last Thursday down under. This very Aussie dessert table was sent to us by Hanna of Pretty and Print. Every year, Hanna has an Australian Day BBQ. Construction Zone Guest Dessert Feature

Who knew that you can do birthday parties at the Home Depot? What a great idea for kids. This party was sent to us by Maysem from Ode to Inspiration. Turkey sandwiches, bags of sliced apples, and organic fruit snacks were packaged in tin lunch boxes. Sweet treats included “mud cupcakes” presented in a dump truck, sugar cookies and  clementines. Bug Bash Guest Dessert Feature

Spaceships and Laser Beams sent us this creepy, crawly insect table they created to display their new Bug Bash DIY Printable Collection for boys. They were trying to go for an insect collector vibe and succeeded by using lots of cork and cupcakes reminiscent of flower pots filled with dirt. Ray Of Sunshine Guest Dessert Feature

This table was sent to us by Heidi from Australia.  She created this little ray of sunshine for her daughter’s 2nd birthday. Heidi decided at the last minute to throw the party and with a week to plan, organized a morning tea party for her daughter and 14 of her friends. Sweet 70′s Inspired Guest Dessert Feature

This colorful retro candy buffet was sent to us from Clionadh from The Sweet Treat Co. in Ireland. She was asked to create a 70′s style table for a photo shoot and used bright colors to set the tone. The movie Quadrophenia …was a source of inspiration for the palette of yellows, blues, citrus orange & hot pink. Vinyl records were used for the bunting and also used under glass vessels. Around the Atlas: Indonesia

This “Around the Atlas” was sent to us by Intan from Dreamflavours Celebrations in Jakarta, Indonesia. She created this beautiful table for a little girl’s birthday party. The theme of the birthday was a fairy garden. We love the whimsical feel of the table centerpieces, which included bow topiaries, bird houses and lush hydrangea arrangements. Sweet treats included that fabulous garden cake and lollipops. Fantastic!

This pretty purple pom themed party came to us from Sophie of Sophie Bifield Cake Company. The intention of the shoot was to showcase her new line of desserts. This sweet tea party came to us from one of our Aussie readers, Julie.  She created this party for her daughter’s 1st birthday. Birdcages and pearls were the main elements of decor. We think the birdcage cake created by Cakeland is fabulous.  Other sweet treats included birdcage cookies, cupcakes, chocolate truffle cake pops, macarons, and mini flourless orange cakes.
