Merry Monday: Sophie’s Choice

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids

This holiday submissions was sent to us by Kirsten from K & Co. She created this party for her daughter, Sophie’s birthday (which happens to coincided with the holidays). That cake was such a creative use of candy. Kirsten created the cake using Kit Kat bars and M&M’s and then kept it all together with a festive red ribbon. Sweet activities included letter writing to Santa, making gingerbread men puzzles, and creating Christmas trees using ice cream cones and lollies. This is so festive. • Thank you SO much for the feature. I’m beyond excited!!! And today is Sophie’s actual birthday, so she thinks it a wonderful present to see her little party on your blog. Thanks again <3

    • Hi! I love the Kit Kat cake….How did you construct that without having M&Ms everywhere?? Was it difficut to get the Kit KAts all standing and get the ribbon around it?

      • Hi Jami! It’s really easy to make….just bake two cakes, put them on top of each other with a little bit of icing in between them. Then ice around the cake and attach the kit kats as you go. I used 10 kit kat bars for this cake. Then tie the ribbon around the cake to secure the kit kats firmly and finally, pour a large bag of m&m’s on top of the cake and you’re done!!

  • That is just adorable! LOVE that cake idea too … I just might need to copy that! 🙂

  • Love it all!! So creative!
