Hip Hippo Hooray Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids

We received this submission from Jill at Jordan Event Studio, which she created for her son’s birthday. Jill made a hippo and balloon theme, with a fun red, gray, and blue palette. An old popcorn tin was used to add height to her short cake stand. She simply covered it with contact paper and accented it with herringbone and red ribbon. Another sweet styling trick that she used…the glasses for the strawberry smoothies had butterflies printed on them and Jill covered them with gray yarn to coordinate the glasses with the theme. Sweet treats included vanilla cupcakes with red velvet “balloon” cake pops, hippo cookies, push pops, and meringue.

Is the garland you used the 12 Foot White Oval Garland 12 pcs? If so how many did you end up using to backdrop your 8 foot table? If not which garland did you use?
